Absolutely love this game to the point I bought it after three runs.  I've played other Balatro/Yahtzee roguelike combos before but this one feels more "right" than any of the others.  The cartoon style is PERFECT.  Especially liked the extra "enemy is scared out of their damn mind" animations when you got a flaming score.  Literally all this game needs is more bosses/relics, and some polish to the balancing that would come from having more relics.  Attached is a picture from my favorite run that went pretty decently into "Infinity" - called the "I don't give a $%#* what I roll" build.  I have a feeling if I could have proc'd more red face dice I could have been onto something with the mouse relic to jam X5 on the last scored category.

This game has made it into my batch of "comfort games" - where I just want to zone out after a long day of work or a bit of drama, and it's in good company with that list having Balatro, Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers, Dicey Dungeons, Luck be a Landlord, and Mr. Magpie's Harmless Card Game.  I have a feeling when this game is fully fleshed out I might be playing it OVER Balatro more often than not.

Love the update.  Holy shit turn 1 Pliers OP.  Love the mindgames and possibilities of comboing off with being able to force your opponent to take a pill at times.  Human multiplayer will have so many odd galaxy brain plays!

The computer opponent makes some questionable decisions (and that's being generous) but I like the game and hope to see it get some polish!  (And some multiplayer, I love the idea of some of the big brain plays possible with the items...test a pill, it's safe, take another one and hope it's not death, knowing your opponent will almost assuredly take the last one of that type, which is the real death pill, then you take your previously labeled safe pill next turn and they're on the chopping block again...)

(Insulting him lowers his defense and your attacks do more.  Using certain items also lowers his defense.  It won't take forever then.)

Holy shit this is still getting play in 2020.  As much as what I was fighting for is long in the rear-view mirror, that still means something to me.  Thanks forbeing part of this even if just in the way of checking this out.

Nice to see some people are still stumbling onto this game so long after it was commissioned!

Just like Undertale, everything in this fight references someting or has a double meaning.  From the amount of gold (and possibly EXP) you would earn, to damn near every line of dialogue, to the choice of music, to Lucas's moveset...everything planned out to just about the tiniest detail.

I really should post why those were how they were somewhere...it's been long enough.  But I'll tell you one right now - when I was getting pissed off over the whole Brawl roster thing, and then the Smash 4 initial roster, nothing got under my skin  more than people saw Lucario as a suitable substitute for Mewtwo (and a reason Mewtwo shouldn't have been brought back), and Greninja serving the same purpose on Smash 4's roster (before the DLC was announced.)  So some people said that it was an improvement both times - and that's where the final line and thus ultimate attack came from.
