The game tells you it's preventing the player from entering a dungeon since there's a trial coming up but it doesn't actually prevent player from entering a dungeon. This is because one of the delves is auto-selected and pressing the "Begin Crawl" button is still available. This has confused a couple of times I was starting out because I thought the trial delve was available and I had done it when in actuality it wasn't and I had accidentally done a normal delve.

I got to a point where the game was in 1870 and there were 129 members of the family at which point I was begging for people to die. Anyways, it'd be better if the minor events (religious persecution and plague) actually have reminders like the major events or if they do, have make the reminders more noticeable.
Another thing I noticed: There is an ending called "Friend". I was aware of it at the time(because of the credits) but I haven't actually seen the ending screen. Someone else in the comments got that ending and it said that the entity is planning to transform the player. The existence of the "Friend" implies that there is a difference between it and "Candidate".
Honestly, I think the entity is a fairy associated with owls and wants to kidnap the player. In "See you in x" and "Spoilsport" feature a fae-like entity. Taking eyes seem very fae-like to me. The "Candidate" and "See you in x" implies that the entity is planning to kidnap/indoctrinate the player and using the quiz to scout out their next victim. "Spoilsport" also implies that the entity also views the quiz as some sort of game which falls in line with the fact that fairies are also depicted as having different morals than humans.
