Thanks for giving it a go!  Seems I accidentally created a built-in difficulty aspect where the player has to use the same finger to kick as they do to move, though that kind of makes sense when you consider how kicking works in real life.  All planned, very intentional.

It's a very deeply designed mechanic, perhaps the only designed mechanic

63 is pretty good, might be the high score!  Kicking zombies is indeed much easier when you're not doing an escort quest.

Whoa!  I just decided to google your old games on a whim and did not expect this to be what came up.  Hard Hat must have been the first Mega Man fangame I ever played.  Your games played a big role in inspiring me to learn Game Maker.  Thank you for making this and for keeping it alive!
