I'm working my way through Scythe 2 with the Doomslayer and having an absolute blast! Just curious - is there an advantage to using his fists rather than the alt-fire sword or the Mourning Star's melee?

IIRC, I could run through Red Zone in two 2-3 hour sessions, so I would probably plan for two or three sessions, depending on the length of your sessions and the number of combats your players trigger. Hope this helps!

It’s intended for a GM plus 3-5 players, but you could play it with as little as a GM+1 or as many players as would fit at a table. In the former case I’d recommend the player controls a squad of PCs, as the tactical combat relies on characters coordinating and supporting one another. Thanks for your interest!

I can't think of a higher compliment than my game being used for a Mignola joint! Thank you!

Hey, thank you so much!

Elective death mechanics are something I've been interested in for a long time! IMO, TTRPGs in the strategy/wargame tradition have always struggled to implement PC death in games that lack the assumption that PCs are easily replaceable. Having death be something a player can choose, with a mechanical/dramatic incentive, is a design space that hasn't really been touched in the mainstream.

Hi all,

This board is for discussion and questions regarding EREBUS and its continuing development. This is the first major public revision of EREBUS to receive a release on Itch.io, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to show my work to the Itch community and get the feedback this game needs to be truly great.

Thanks,
