Nope. AI is banned and we'd immediately kick you.

No. Go buckwild. They are 1-pagers. Submit 50.

Sure. We encourage you to find inspiration from wherever. Work in groups, copy elements from your favourite game, whatever you like.

The only thing we don't allow is Gen AI assistance.

Yes! I think Chris has already submitted two and he plans to send in one more.

Hey, you can upload either one. We'll accept photographs, digital, even scanned copies. Go buckwild!

With regards to size, the 'standard' size that you get when you open most editors is A4 (210 x 297 millimeters, 8.27 x 11.69 inches). If not, it's one of the options you can select when starting the editor. If you are scanning from a country that uses standard letter, just upload that size and we can sort it out if it gets selected for the book.

Joining the Jam? Do remember to join our Discord as well to get free access to the latest version of the rule book, be kept up to date as we find sponsors and generally just hang out with us!

Hey. Great question!

Firearms aren't a basic skill. They are an expert skill. So normally a character without a rifle expert skill simply wouldn't have a rifle or know how to use one.

If however, a character did pick up a rifle and want to use it, we would normally rule that the skill would start out at 20%. (like untrained basic skills). Unless they revealed it as an expert skill.

Since this situation is not included in the booklet, the GM is allowed to make the call. They may choose to rule that an untrained skill starts at 1%. Which is how basic BRP would resolve it. We've chosen not to get too nitty gritty with Embers and leave some stuff up to the GM to rule.

Hmmm.

I'm not amazing at Itch.io and it seems to be hiding my Changelogs for some reason.

0.7 was a cosmetic update, with the focus on improving layout.

They're all up on the Discord if you'd like to look.

The Playtest version has come down from Itch right now as we ramp up for launch of the 1.0 at the end of the month. (I'll actually be publishing on Drivethru)

Thanks so much. Going to be diving into layout the rest of the month and taking on a buttload of feedback from playtesting. Hoping to reveal more and more.
