as far as i can tell the reader gets replaced by it, it does the same damage but across the entire visable area and it's always using the max read rate

You can't jump high enough for  most of them.

Ok, i'm basically just going to say what i'm sure alot of people said. I loved the fight system,I enjoy the artstyle,I look forward to more of the game,I loved the last fight, have a good day.(I actually could'nt find anything bad about this game.)

This looks pretty good,though maybe you should lower the kids' HP.
