AWSESOMEEEEEEEE MY GOD you really pulled off the second person, the thoughts really feel like they're banging against anise's skull. the repetition of feeling so neurodivergent and fucking up constantly work well with this. there are no other locations aside from the office, the cubicle and the window, and it all boxes in this short and sweet story. being so cooped up and bored out of your mind that anything short of violation doesn't feel real. YAYAY!!!! WELL DONE!!!
WOWOWOW. so haunting so atmospheric this is such a treat to get lost in, i really felt absorbed through the combination of gorgeously rendered visuals / charming and casual narration / use of music (really really good fade in/outs here) and sfx. like this is a whole complete package. i wanted the best for daizy and im so completely heartbroken. everything was almost there but it was all wrong. i enjoyed the pacing as well, it was slow but in a way that let you marinate inside the vn, the woods really felt alive. the way that daizy's routine is set up early on, slowly being disrupted both by mammillaria and anisia's interference (well meaning or not). amazing work what a collaboration!!!!
OH LOVE. i am going to be echoing the thoughts of all the other queer and trans asians in the comments but it's really meaningful to be able to engage with it like this. the thing that struck me the most is the through line of something your mom tells you... existing in two cultural contexts that you are meant to straddle and even learn to reject one while being paraded around by the other as something to stare at. really great. esp the bit abt names. its so odd. how do you reconcile heritage with the freedom only afforded by those that exotify? really fun imagery as well, my favorite is an early one of the main character sleeping going from a young to older version with the same composition. simple and yet really effective!!
ABSOLUTELY DIABOLICAL "GOOD GIRL" DROP!!!! i love how you can only see jinglebug through a screen or a filter of a screen. really adds to the feeling of isolation and ughhh the confusion of perversion and desire all mixing together. encapsulated best with the cg of jinglebug reaching out through the screen. and the perspective switch! both characters trying to find a sense of purpose in the world and only finding it in simulation. epic eraserheadvideodrome type feeling. REALLY GOOD. i loved it <3
