I have since closed my browser/turned off my pc and one of those fixed the issue. I can even continue playing my run! There is also no error with buying 5x now, must have been some very unique situation.

Great game, I really enjoyed playing it.
I had a crash happen which corrupted my save(3 hours into playing). I was playing on the browser version (with brave browser). The crash happened when I bought 5x upgrade on the auto metal farming thing. I got a black screen and my pc froze for like 10 seconds. After I reloaded the page and now the game is only a black screen.
