how do you view the letter? I picked it up for the door but can not find any way to use it now that I am at the door

I am just missing 3 numbers: the 1st, the 5th, and the 18th (last) one. I saw one comment below about the last one but still could not figure it out

I also am having trouble reading the recipe list... I think I figured out most but can not figure out the 3rd one at all
