Played through all three, very short but a lot of impressive features and a lot of potential! Good job!

Enjoyed it a lot! I loved trying out all the different variations of upgrades and seeing how to make the ship more powerful. My favorite one was the back reinforcements :D

Incredible work for a week! Thought the graphics and theme were very retro, and it was very cool that you could remap certain commands to different keys/inputs. I only wish that the basic attack could be remapped, because often I would try to hit someone and ran headfirst into them instead. Overall, very fun!

Very cute! I love that your mouse leaves a trail/it feels very reactive to player input!

I like the use of retro in the enemies, background, and main characters. I also enjoyed the intro "buddy cop" style dialogue and wish there was more throughout the game!

Fun theme and use of lighting/hiding objects. Was a bit confused how to play but there's a lot of potential here!

This was really fun, I ended up playing for about 40 minutes accidentally (I got into that "just one more time..." mindset immediately). I do think that it could be balanced a little better, as the enemies spawn really quickly in the beginning and I'd often end up with like 50 enemies at my throat before the second upgrade. The closest I've gotten to winning is 48 seconds, and that's without lack of trying!

I thought the moon/cheese wheel map was very creative, great job!

Such a unique and fun take on the theme! Loved the art and the music felt very cohesive to the game. To reiterate some comments, the ingredient placement made some of the levels hard to complete, but luckily the rounds are fast!

the music is 10/10, title screen 10/10, the fact you can invert colors 10/10, what else do you need in a game?

I loved trying to solve all the puzzles! The levels felt really well designed, there were many moments I had a "eureka" when I realized some you weren't supposed to eat all the apples.

Hi fellow video rental store game! :D

I really liked the art in this one, and the unique variety of genres and tags a movie could have. The music was chill, and it felt like there were a number of different ways to adjust your store! I accidentally sent a customer away at the beginning because I didn't realize that "End Dialogue" referred to the interaction itself,  but you live and you learn!

Interesting take on brick breaker, it took some getting used to for the controls once I flipped it, but it was cool overall.  The ball did bounce out of bounds but it eventually made its way back up! :D

The cube map felt very sleek and I enjoyed exploring the maze/finding new watering spots!

Reminded me so much of Vampire Survivors! Quite fun, I tried a couple times to last the full three minutes but I kept getting surrounded by the end (a skill issue, more than anything). The upgrades felt really rewarding, especially the multi-shot upgrade so I could mow down those spiders like they're nothing!

Loved this, found it really fun! I thought the writing was really creative for the callers and for the movie titles/descriptions (I think it's pretty funny that both of our games used "Spectersmashers" as the parody title for Ghostbusters!). I also thought the use of the map was really inventive in this game.

Sure, the bug happened on day 7 when I bumped into the shelf on the lower left corner (iirc the "thriller" shelf). My character got stuck in that place and I could still interact, but since I couldn't move the customers ran into me and I couldn't check anyone out. Wish I could have kept going, I was having a lot of fun!

This might be my favorite entry yet!! (and not because we share a similar theme 🎥)

The game felt super polished, I loved the character art and design of the store, plus it was fun to run around and try to clean up people's messes (I swear that trench coat guy only exists to ruin the layout of my store). I did run into a bug that froze me/made me lose on day 7, but the rest of the game is so fun it made up for it for sure!

Loved it! With more levels this would absolutely be the kind of game I devote hours to. Struggled a bit to drag the tea and coffee to the customers using my laptop trackpad but that's more of a skill issue than a developer issue LOL

(1 edit)

Loved the theme and music for this one! Felt like Halloween in July~
