I DID IT!!!

Thanks for the feedback! I'm trying to learn how to make sounds and music, I'm not great yet, you got to start from somewhere though!

Thanks! I plan on working on the game more in between other game jams, I have a few ideas I would like to add. I definitely do need to work on sounds, I have never really been good with them lol

The 2D sprites in the 3D world is pretty cool, good job!

Thanks for the feedback! I definetly need to work on the camera, it is just the default one right now. I can see how it could be a problem, especially later into the game.

(1 edit)

Thanks for all the feedback! I tried to make the enemies scale but it either broke or just doesn't work, and defense is just completely overpowered. The bees stopping wouldn't be the most difficult thing to fix but it could lead to crazy bugs, I'll try it out tho. I could probably do something that traps the player in the room. I also did think about a timer, maybe killing the bees increases the timer too?

Thanks for the feedback! I might change the enemies from bees because generally you don't find bees inside a tree, but I was in a rush and that was the first thing I could think of :/ The bees getting stuck is due to how I generate the enemies and how they chase the player. They are supposed to attack the player when you enter the room, but they stop when you enter a different room. I'm probably going to leave it how it is right now because my code is very janky and I don't want to ruin the game lol. I'm glad you enjoyed my game!

Incredible game! I love the art style and the mechanics. The only thing I don't like is the camera movement, that might just be me tho. Idk what exactly is wrong with it, it just doesn't feel right. Still definetly an amazing game! If you continue, definetly make more content!

The visuals are incredible, love the ideas with the buildings coming to life. I dislike the health bar in the bottom left, it's unexpected, usually it would be in the top left or right. It's a bit annoying having to get used to it, but whatever its fine. Not having a cursor, or anything to see where you are shooting, is very annoying and makes the gameplay feel a lot worse. I feel like I have to guess if I am shooting in the right spot, usually I am not lol. Also, I feel like I don't have a goal, like I am just playing to kill the building monsters. I don't know if I am missing something, but that's kinda just meh imo. Giving the player a goal is important, throwing them in a world and telling them to explore can work, but I feel like this isn't that kind of game. Great work nontheless!

Interesting game design choice, haven't seen PICO-8 in a while... lol... great job, keep up the great work! Try working on some healing mechanics, that would help a lot!

Very awesome game, great job! I would love to see more monster parts, also it would be nice to not have to open the shop again after buying something. Keep up the good work!

Awesome game, perfect combination of challenge and fun!

This game is amazing! It is so fun and so polished, I have no idea how you managed to make all of this in the 3 day time limit. I found that the food and water can be a bit buggy sometimes. I was pushing them around instead of walking over them and I wasn't getting any food or water. A quick refresh of the tab fixed it though. Keep up the amazing work!

This game is too fun! The controls are a bit jank, and it is difficult to get the humans out. But other than that, this game is awesome! I wish there were more levels, 5 boxes of oreos to you!

This game is pretty awesome! The art style is very simple and interesting, along with the mecahnics. The puzzles are simple while also requiring some thinking. Great job with this, I would love to see some animation to make the ghost movement smoother, but thats just me lol. This game reminds me of Conway's Game of Life, another great game!

After playing the game some more, and getting some awesome rainbow monsters, I noticed it gets very cluttered and much more difficult to "roll" the monsters. Maybe you could add a button that flips all the monsters or something. Even without that it's a pretty solid game!

Very awesome game! Definetly contiue making this, it will end up being a great game! I recommend working on the UI and changing the background to be more unique. You could even make it a house where you can buy things to increase your score? Idk just some ideas lol. Good job!

Interesting game idea. You should continue with this, I would like to see where it goes. Good job!

Very awesome game! It plays and looks very well. It would be nice if the xp hitboxes were a bit larger, they are kinda difficult to pick up with the larger hordes of enemies. Great job tho!

Thanks!

Thanks! I will try to keep working on this game, there is a lot of polishing I still have to do!

I didn't have enough time to make a death screen so I just delete the character when it dies. I had to rush the combat a bit to get to the dungeon part. I tried to be creative with the limitations with the dungeon being a tree, and trees are alive. I wasn't sure what exactly to put in that section so I just wrote down everything that was alive. Thanks for the feedback!

Health booster gives you more max health so it looks like you lose health. I didn't have enough time for sfx and I'm not good with them anyway lol.

Interesting concept, kidna difficult to get the hang of at first. Good job tho, this is a pretty good game.

The first part is super difficult, I can see it is a good game though. It would be so much easier if you reduced the amount of enemies there.

Very good job! It is fun to play, but all the effects, particles, and lighting, it can be a bit difficult to see. If you were to continue on the game, you should add some sort of settings page where you can disable all of this, or reduce it's effect. I would also recommend adding in a simple tutorial.

Awesome game! It fits the theme and limitation perfectly!
