UPDATE: Played the game for another few hours and this time focused on meeting the needs of my people... turns out I WAS missing something (obviously) and have now got up to needing oil and am trying to figure it out! I love this older game style where things like this take time to actually work out, rather than the game simply holding your hand through its entirety. I clearly underestimated the game before, brilliant!

The idea of having not just specific miracles do certain things, but also have the combination of miracles and different terrain types yeilding completely different results, therefore necessitating a varied landscape is fantastic.

Its worth mentioning still that it feels overly easy to keep cities on your side, although im sure that if I play this save long enough that could very well change.

I am very much looking forward to where this game will go.

Also read about the need to perform miracles and kill heretics to prevent cities turning and invading but I havent seen a hint of challenge to keep my cities on my side? Maybe I havent played it long enough or there is some other form of progression I am not aware of but after about an hour I feel left with nothing to do. None of this is meant as insult as I think this game is a brilliant idea and really enjoy playing it, I just feel there is more to it that I havent managed to see :)

Just bought the Quest version of this game and it seems weirdly limited? Bought the game after seeing all the cool develpment of your people from basic agriculture to eventual oil mining etc and yet when I load it up and play for an hour I see a few miracles marked 'coming soon' and can't seem to get any further than a few large cities with mines. Also really quickly reach the limit of building, meaning I can no longer place new tiles.. I'm sorry if i am missing something here but wouldn't mind some clarification.

All in all the game looks brilliant, huge potential, just seems a bit too limited at the moment. However I am sure I am missing something :)
