Re-downloading won't help, it's a problem with the save file. It gets bigger and bigger the longer you play until it is so big the game can't load it anymore.

If you're handy with a text editor you can repair it yourself otherwise unfortunately you're out of luck

This might be a stupid question but why is this not "1.0"? It is finished and released, is it not?

I don't really like starting games until they are finished and the store page is sending mixed signals :)
