Thanks for the great feedback! You’re totally right—I’ve realized that balancing the difficulty curve wasn’t exactly my strong suit during development, haha.

I’m so glad you stuck with it and still liked the story, visuals, and the overall concept, though! Thank you so much for playing and for sharing your thoughts!

Thanks for the great feedback! To be honest, this is my very first time participating in a game jam, so I’m not sure if the rules even allow making changes to the game after the submission deadline. Plus, work has been super busy lately.

But your suggestion makes total sense! Once the jam is over and things quiet down a bit, I’ll definitely look into adding that instant restart feature. Thanks for playing!

Thanks a lot! I’m so happy to hear that you found it polished. Really appreciate you playing the game and sharing your feedback!

Wow, thank you so much! “No complaints” is honestly the best thing a developer could hear. I’m so glad you enjoyed it, and thanks again for playing and for the amazing compliment!

Haha, you caught me! Since art isn’t exactly my strongest suit, almost everything in the game is procedurally generated. That’s probably why your PC was sweating a bit during gameplay—it’s heavy on performance!

I’m so glad you loved the UI and the vibe, though. For the future, I’m thinking about adding more content, maybe even playing around with some new mechanic cards to spice things up. Thanks for playing and for the awesome feedback!

Thanks for the great feedback! Glad you liked the juice on the text. I just tried your game—the mechanic of flinging the triangle and triggering “Spinsanity” is super satisfying, and the art and music are awesome too. Keep it up!

Thanks so much for the great feedback! I tried your game too, and I really love the classic pixel art style—the main character looks amazing! Keep up the great work!

I gave it a try! It has a very unique gameplay mechanic, but I think you might want to consider the controls—I’m used to using WASD. Also, you could add some particle effects to the game!

Haha, I think you could definitely make some funny/goofy games. Keep it up, keep having fun!:D

Thank you so much for the great feedback! Regarding the language barrier you mentioned, I wanted to double-check: was it because the upgrade cards didn’t have English at all, or did you happen to miss the language switch option? (I actually included a language toggle in the menu, so if the cards remained in Chinese even after switching, it might be a bug I need to fix!). Also, sorry about the lag on the second level; I’ll definitely work on optimizing the performance. Thanks again for playing and for your support!

I played it for a bit! I think the graphics and story are really well done, but I’m not very good at this genre, so it might be a bit too difficult for me. I’m still trying my best though!

I also really like Project Zomboid! I played your game for a bit, and the jump and dash sound effects are super fun—they sound like they were custom-voiced by yourself, haha. As for the mouse controls, I’ll definitely consider that for the future. Thanks for playing!

Hey everyone! Finished my entry — Ring Encirclement.

You play as a nano surgical bot. Draw laser loops around enemies, close the loop, everything inside gets cut. Bigger loops = more kills, but your wire is limited so you have to think about every circle you draw.

Would really appreciate if anyone could play it and let me know if anything breaks!

Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who’s played and left comments — this is still a prototype, and your feedback is directly shaping what I work on next.

Things I’ve heard across the comments and am planning to address:

  • Augment tooltips — hover info showing what each part does and its stats, so you don’t have to equip something just to find out
  • Double-click to equip — as an alternative to drag-and-drop, which feels rough on the web build
  • Performance at higher depths — VFX and damage numbers aren’t pooled properly yet, which is why things slow down once the screen fills up
  • DPS and balance — including the question of why basic/grey parts seem to outperform the fancier ones (looking into whether it’s a balancing issue or a counter bug)
  • Difficulty curve — the spike around 1700 depth isn’t intentional
  • Reactions visibility — making it clearer when combos trigger and what they actually do

If you’ve got more feedback, drop it below — I read everything. Really appreciate the time you’ve all taken.

Hi everyone! 👋

I'm a solo indie developer currently working on a 2D top-down farming game called MaX Farm. The playtest version is now available on Itch.io, and I would love to hear your honest thoughts and feedback!

About MaX Farm: It's a farming simulation game that integrates automation elements. In the current playtest version, you can experience:

  • Basic Planting & Mutation: Experience the core loop of crop farming, where plants have a chance to undergo basic mutations as they grow.
  • Water-Based Automation: This is a major feature of the game. You can build automation machines directly on the river, utilizing the water flow direction to build your farm's collection assembly line, making resource management much more intuitive.

Where I need feedback the most: The current version is open up to the "automated planting" stage. If you're willing to take a little time to play, please help me focus on:

  1. Water Building System: Is placing machines along the water flow intuitive and easy to grasp?
  2. UI & Beginner Experience: Does the interface look comfortable? Does giving seeds right at the start help you know exactly what to do first?
  3. Overall Smoothness: Does the game run smoothly? (There were frame drop issues before, which I've just optimized, so I want to see how it performs now).

Play & Links: 👉 Play for free on Itch.io (Download): [MaX Farm.]

Also, my Steam page just went live! If you see potential in this game, please consider adding it to your Steam Wishlist! This is a huge encouragement and support for a solo indie dev: Wishlist MaX Farm on Steam here

Community Mutual Help (Play for Play): Leave your comments and feedback! In return, I would be more than happy to play your game and leave my feedback as well. Just drop a link to your game or forum post in your reply!

  • Thank you for your time! Looking forward to seeing you in the comments!

  • "Thank you so much for playing and for taking the time to write such a detailed guide for other players! I'm truly moved and so glad you enjoyed the core concept of the game.

I've read through all your feedback carefully. Your thoughts on plant mutations, the FPS drop caused by auto-collectors, and the frustration of the farm wiping after beating the game are incredibly valuable to me.

Right now, I'm working hard on the next major update, heavily basing it on the feedback I've received from players like you. In the next version, I'll be introducing a brand new 'Affix/Modifier' system, a much more comprehensive and smoother automated farming system, and of course, fixing those annoying bugs and lag issues you mentioned.

It might take a little time to get everything polished, so please bear with me and stay tuned! Thanks again for your amazing support and patience!"

Hi! I am blown away that you played for 3 hours! Thank you so much for such a high-quality and professional review. I read your comment multiple times, and it honestly made my day.

I really appreciate your suggestions on the mechanics. I am working on a patch right now to fix the translation issues and improve the gameplay based on your feedback.

Finally, thank you for sharing your experience as a fellow dev. It means a lot to me. I will definitely keep pursuing this project! :D

Hey! Thank you so much for playing my game and leaving such detailed feedback. I'm super happy to hear that you enjoyed the harvesting! :D

I have to apologize first—my English isn't very good. I think your idea about 'starting with carrots' is brilliant! I will definitely take your advice. I'm working on fixing the issues and making adjustments right now, especially the translation bugs and the tutorial.

Thanks again for your patience and for helping me make the game better!

    Hi everyone, 👋

I am a solo developer looking for feedback on my current project, [Max Farm].

It is a 2D pixel farming simulation, but unlike traditional farming games, the core gameplay focuses heavily on Crop Mutation and Automation.

    Key Features:

    • Genetic Loop: Crops randomly mutate into new, rare species during growth or through fusion.
    • Automation: You can build machines to automate planting and harvesting tasks.
    • Expansion: Unlock new areas and upgrade your tools to manage a larger farm.

The game is currently in the prototype stage. I would really appreciate it if you could give it a try and let me know:

    1. Is the core loop of "Planting -> Mutating -> Automating" fun?
    2. Any suggestions for mechanics or improvements?

    Play it here:

  • Thank you for your time and feedback!
