Wow great concept and puzzles! The art is really charming too. Can't fault this entry, you've ticked all the boxes! Wonderful stuff

thanks a lot, I love making my pixel characters wobble like jelly lol

wow what a great in depth review! I only had a morning free to work on it so I couldn’t go to crazy but it’s nice to see you picked up on some of the little touches I managed to squeeze in.

I agree with your comments. If I did it again I’d definitely have some water come out at the start of the animation, and probably add things so the velocity of the character effects the ejected water, etc.

Thanks for taking the time to give such a thoughtful response!

Thanks heaps for checking it out!

Stellar entry! Love the sound and visuals, and the core mechanic is really brilliant. Definitely makes things frantic knowing you need to shrink to advance, but your time is short! Unfortunately though it was a bit to hard for me to get too far, I think the game needs to ease into the difficulty curve a little smoother. Other than that, great entry.

Cool game! As an Australian I can say this game feels like home. Love the polish an presentation, and the game play was enjoyable. I really like the atmosphere and silhouettes though, great aesthetic choices.

Wow, there's a lot of content here! Great idea, very unique for the theme. The presentation was very nice as well, this is a good entry!

I totally understand! A game I’m making has a tutorial that takes just over a minute to complete. A friend playtested and it took him 15 minutes haha 😅 feedback really helps the dev process

I agree, mouse control would make it more accessible. I just stick with simple controls to mimic limited button controls of old retro games with similar pixel limitations. Thanks for the play!

Thanks for taking the time to try! It’s a bit rushed so the controls could have been easier.

yeah there’s definitely a lot of tweaks that could be made but I only had a few hours to put it together before the submission date. Thanks for the feedback!

thanks for trying it out!

I think you have quite a cool concept here. As it stands it's a good jam entry, but with some more refined mechanics it could really become something! Fun gameplay, but I did keep turning too fast and walking into my own fire haha. Nice entry.

Nice, a tutorial and everything! A solid action platformer with quite a lot of mechanics for a 3 day jam. I liked the flame thrower!

Loved everything about it, really nice game! The concept itself is really unique, and the artwork really sells it to me. Love the pixel art!

Chroma is a genius take on the limitation, I never would have thought of that. The visuals are definitely hard on the eyes, but give it a psychedelic vibe. At first it was really hard to focus on what's going on, but with multiple tries I definitely got better. Cool game, nice entry!

Interesting use of the theme and limitation! Educational and challenging, well done mate!

This was really awesome. The action adventure puzzle aspect was spot on and it was fun to stick with it until I had finished the game. Some of the areas were really quite challenging for me but I'm glad to have beaten it! Nice work!

Well done, on point with the theme and limitation. It was easy (but fun) with the mouse, but way harder with WASD (which is nice from a challenge perspective). Would have been good if there were moving objects that you could burn for extra points, but as it is it was a fun experience!

Thanks for playing mate, much appreciated!

Cool game! Some nice humour in there too. Love the look and how it plays. Managed to beat it and post this just before my laptop battery dies haha... awesome stuff!

A fun arcade game that really makes good use of the theme and limitation!

That was quite addicting! You really nailed the theme/restriction combo.

Wow this is a whole thing haha, felt like I was on survivor. Great concept and execution. The art/audio were very professional!

Thanks! The limitation was good inspiration, I've done 2 and 4 colour pixel art before but never considered 3

Thanks for playing! I'll add other control schemes after the jam.

I love it! Feels like a genuine classic from the past. Good fun

Great art and colour choice. The hose looked really god curling around the screen. The puzzles were definitely tricky!

(1 edit)

Cool! My only issue is it gets so hard so quickly haha... but otherwise the concept and the artwork is so good! Really charming and great use of the colour limitation

Nice gameplay concept! I think it needed a time limit or something else to increase the danger otherwise I think I could keep going for a long, long time. It was fun though, love the beep haha

Great use of the theme and limitation, and nicely polished!

That was cool. I'm a little confused by the scoring, but bonking the fire around was good fun. I like there's random level layouts, the peculiar music fit the tone well and the gameplay was chaotic. I only managed to get the fire back into the fireplace once, but my scores were higher when i burnt the stick haha

Wow nice aesthetic and vibe! Felt like forbidden backrooms tic tac toe or something. The gameplay concept is intriguing, I wonder how it would play out against other human players. Layering these two classic games on top of each other is pretty smart!

Thanks! The controls were a bit of rushed decision since I've had trouble with arrows/space key messing with the browser and not the game.

Thanks a lot for trying it out!
