Improving the jobs is something I still have pending. Regarding the mall, it’s an idea that’s been on my mind. I don’t think I’ll add one for now I’ll most likely improve the PC shops instead, though I’m not ruling it out.

Do you mean the stairs in the hallway? If so, you just need to go out into the hallway and they’re at the end on the left. There’s a question mark on the top of your interface that gives you some hints if you’re having trouble with it.

Don't worry about the AI it's just a first version, so progressing in the project has zero impact. As for the other issue, what necklace are you talking about? You don't need any necklace to advance in the main storyline at least as far as I remember.
In the game, you level up by pressing the exclamation mark on your phone. When you level up, you receive one social point and one skill point. Additionally, you gain experience from working, but only if you have already reached a new level beforehand.
