The 1.1 version? What's happening when you try to move? The movement isn't meant to be super quick, just not the snail crawl that was happening before (and even though we might tweak it to be a little faster, for sake of the jam we just fixed the bugged code since voting hasn't ended).

If you haven't seen in the discord or the game page, the original version we uploaded had a game-breaking movement issue that occurred when building. It should be resolved and things should be easier and make more sense if y'all would want to take a look at it again. Would love to hear people's feedback!

Had a bit of a hard time figuring out how to get moving (tho' tbf the one time I tried QWOP I also couldn't figure out what I was doing for a good bit, given that's the type of game that's somewhat to be expected).

It might be an issue with the build now that I've seen someone try to play it. Was your movement speed super slow?

Edit: yeah it seems the build we uploaded has a major issue with the movement that's probably why people are struggling. t.t

Edit 2: got permission to re-upload a version fixing the movement. It should be working now and probably will make more sense to play. Lemme know if you have any other feedback! :D

I'll leave a comment on here since it's best practice not to update anything until after voting period ends unless absolutely necessary. Partially because there were other things we wanted to implement but ran outta time, we up not getting the movement explained very well.

While descending you have free movement to swim as you retrieve things. Both the air tanks and the planks when you pick them up switch you to a mode of platforming as you return to the ship. You'll want to pick up the tanks since they should be extending your dive time.

Edit: We did have to re-upload our game, when building the  bug we had wound up much worse and made the game almost impossible to play or froze the player in place.

We didn't get it explained very well tbf. We had more we were wanting to do and not enough time to implement it.

There's also  a bug with movement that gives you massive acceleration that we weren't able to fix because it wasn't very consistent and needed to upload.
