Now I tried this game on my older PC from 2010 which also runs MX Linux 23 64-bit.
The menu was rather sluggish this time, but that is to be expected when running this game on an older PC. When I tried starting the game, however, it immediately closed. No Vulkan error this time. Just "Segmentation fault".
I tried again with low resolution enabled, low end device enabled and windowed mode enabled instead of full-screen mode. Nothing worked. The game always gives a segmentation fault when starting it on this older PC. :-(
Next, I will try to run this game when Windows 10 is booted on either this PC, either my new laptop. One of those should work. I hope it will.
I am using MX Linux 23 64-bit, which is based on Debian. If this game is tested on Debian, it should work on MX Linux, too.
Support for the Intel iRIS Xe graphics is included in the Linux kernel that I use (version 6.1.0-33). All other graphical software, like Blender 3, Blender 4, Godot 4, other Godot 4 games etcetera, work like a charm on my laptop.
I do not know why exactly I am getting this error. I could try this game on another computer, or on this same laptop when Windows 10 is booted.
Unfortunately, the game doesn't launch for me. I get this error.
My attempts:
1. Running with the default settings.
2. Running with "Low end device" enabled.
3. Running with "Low resolution" enabled.
4. Running with both "Low end device" and "Low resolution" enabled.
5. Running in full-screen and windowed mode, both with "Low end device" and "Low resolution" enabled.
6. Changing my username from "Mark Wiering" to "markwiering" in case the error was caused by the space in the username.
Nothing worked. I always get the same error (see below). :'-(

Hey, I am considering buying your game. I have seen the video and the game seems oddly fun, even though the driving experience itself seems boring, but it seems to have an interesting vibe to it. I might just try it!
Plus, it features the legendary Yugo car from Yugoslavia. :-D I didn't think I would find that there on itch.
What do you think? Shall I buy it?
Thank you for your feedback!
I agree that the driving mechanic can be weird. I am yet to fine-tune the car. Right now, the car is a bit jumpy. It also flips way too easily.
Edit 18th of May: the car is stable, now. I fine-tuned it. The car is not jumpy any more and also doesn't flip over very easily, unless you make a sharp turn at high velocity.
