it didn’t really seem like the game functioned, as both players would always just play their highest card, the card would be returned to their hand, and the cycle would repeated. It is possible we are misunderstanding the rules.
Game functioned and we were able to play. Once the jokers were gone, the game felt “solved.” There was no reason not to just play your highest card every round
The game functioned, my only concern would be the doubling of the cards. Seems like it would be impossible to beat someone if they defend with like an ace of their suit and a 10 of their suit. Also the draw pile is really small w/ 4 players.
