Found the game quite fun! A very nice entry made within 3 days.

Here are my thoughts:

  • I like that you've put up a "dev's highscore", I think it's a nice way to set a goal for the player before even starting the game. It drove me to play for longer to try and beat that score.
  • I think rope swinging was supposed to be more important to the experience. At first, I didn't find it clear it's for mobility, maybe it's lacking a goal for the player (hopping over a gap or a hole in the ship for example). The physics were too chaotic.
  •  A bit strange but I found it cool that the the enemies randomly jump, they feel a bit more dynamic! Also, running on top of a row of enemies' heads was quite fun.

Thanks for sharing this entry! Good luck!

Cool entry! This fits the theme in a literal sense quite well!

I like the gameplay that you interact and adjust with all the various knobs to achieve a goal.

I think adding a "change signals knob" in the main menu was a very good choice for the tutorial design, It's the first thing that caught my eye to try it out!

On the other hand, all the other important details were hidden in a "help folder" that took me a while to notice it's there. I think maybe a pulsing glow effect could fix that.

Lastly, unless I didn't fully understand the instructions, the signal timeout felt way too fast for me to complete the signals after the first one.

Thanks for finishing up and posting this entry! Nice little minigame! Good luck on your next project!
