Not my first Gamejam, but my 3rd, however it's the first time I try to do something in 3D and there is a difficulty spike (for me who have daily work, and don't learn Unity everyday but rather "when I got time"). It's just 1 dimention more but it add a lot of options. With 2D I would not have problems and if I would continue any of my projects, I would definitelly start with my previous 2D games. However it's nice to learn some functions for 3D world. My game won't be much (if I can make it) but I can learn new things and that is important. I create not to compete for the best game, but rather to learn.

If you submit the game and then make update, you can simply update your submission. From what I know you can even update it during the voting phase.
Of course even after the jam is over you can continue t create updates to your game.

As for preferred format.. I would say windows or in-browser. Most of the people here use windows (I think) so it will work with most of the "voters" and if you want as many people to check your game then create built for browser. It's easier to check it if you can play in browser instead of downloading it.

Believe me, there will be a lot (and I mean A LOT) of games to play.

I'm trying to create a small "post service". A tiny character running from stall to stall delivering apples or pretzels.

Any feedback is appreciated as I will continue with the development after the jam.

Well, I`m a HUGE fan of SuperGiant games so I immediatelly recognized that.

As for Hyper Light, I did not play it but I saw now the trailer for Hyper Light Breaker and indeed the style and color scheme is similar.

Survive 5 minutes and then you can say my game is long.

It seems we had really similar idea. Even the same assets were used. Check my game when you will have time ;)
Really nice overall.
I think it would be better if you could run in one direction and shoot in other.

The moment I saw milk dropping from sky in menu I knew it's a game for me.
It felt chaotic like "Overcooked" or "Moving out" and that's great.
Nice approach to the theme.

I would just check enemies as they like to get stuck on shelves or each other.

With the animations and art it felt a little like "Transistor" and I love it.

Looks like a full game, not a gamejam entry.

Really nice game. Love the upgrades.
A lot like oldschool Flash shooters.

Looking for every feedback as I will continue with development
Current plans are to add increasing difficulty, upgrades after specified amount of time or kills and some new enemies.

I am open to any suggestions what to improve and/or add as I plan to continue working on this game.
Most people here have much more experience in gamedev so any feedback will help :)

Also congratz everyone on their games!

Finally finished my game and uploaded it. It`s not much but it works. You can check it here: https://mario138.itch.io/last-survivor

Unfortunatelly it is a little laggy in browser, but I will check it tomorrow after work. At worst I will change it from browser to downloadable.

I will still work on this game even after the Jam ends to learn more things.

Looking at me previous game I can tell this is a huge step forward for me.

Good luck for everyone else :)

UI is ready, Map is ready, player and enemies are almost ready. My girlfriend even made me few assets like menu background or fireball so there is something original in game instead of only using free existing assets.

Just need to add death animation, enemy spawn, some colliders and I think it`s done. Oh, and a few sounds.

I had easy day in work on friday and nothing special happened on Saturday so finally I had some time for the game :)
The only thing that made me mad is that for 2 hours I tried to correct an error that didn't even exist.... But it is fine now.

Probably either today evening or tomorrow after work it will be done.

If I will have time maybe I will implement upgrade system like faster shooting, movement etc.
If not during gamejam then definitelly after it, as I want to continue with that game. It looks much better than my previous game (You can see it on my account) and I can see that it went much better even if it is more ambitious (So I know I`m getting better with Unity) and I am really happy about that ^^

Hello everyone

I took part in last year gamejam and this is my 2nd jam but my progress is not that great. Kinda hard to learn unity while working during day and renovating house in the evenings/nights. Looking at all your games, my can be like a minigame that you could use (and probably most of the people here will build it in 1 day). I could only start working on my game 2 days ago cause only now I have some free time.

However I am motivated to finish this and learn something new. Even if I learn slowly, it is still something. Last year I made a game I thought was kinda shitty but everyone was soooo positive :)  If not that feedback I would probably give up.

Trying to do something bigger this time (something like vampire survivors). I will for sure finish in time. Question is how many mechanichs I will create. This time I will continue to polish my game even after the jam and hopefully it will be my first full game.

I am glad that at least I do not have to watch so many tutorials as last year. That means progress.

Great game.  Somehow I manage to beat it on the first try (with 1 live left). Would love to see more levels.
Keep up the good work!
