That is great news, really looking forward to it. I wanted to point out that adding the Super Stage from the Master System version (with updated graphics that still match the original) and the Stage 6 Boss from the PC Engine version was a really nice touch, not even R·Type Dimensions (remake of R·Type and R·Type II) has them. I saw something (a video or a post, can't remember) that said that you have all the stages done and you are doing whatever it is you do to make them function well on the Genesis and that you also have a special widescreen version coming. Jeez man, as a long time R·Type fan, I am hyped.

I do have an idea, which would probably be a pain to implement, but the first boss of the arcade version of R·Type II would be an amazing secret stage, or whatnot, to add. That is one of my favorite bosses in all the R·Type series and I selfishly want to fight it as the ship from R·Type Leo, although programming the left side of the screen during that battle looks like it would be a nightmare to implement. Just a thought in case you want to add a little extra greatness into the game. Doesn't even need the stage, just the boss. ;)

Looking forward to the next demo, take it easy.

The enemies have to be slowed down slightly, otherwise you die in seconds and that kills the fun. A good 15% reduction in enemy speed should stop them from walking through the obstacles, which makes it impossible to take out the enemy soldiers that are behind the obstacle.

Had a blast using the R・Type Leo Prototype Ship, it breathes new life into this classic, not to mention how great this looks and plays on such a weak system (Genesis) makes it even more impressive. After the 4 stages I was wanting more. Most fan ports are really pointless, it's like yay I can play Grand Theft Auto 3 on Dreamcast...whoopie...who cares...But this actually an improvement on the original R・Type, completely worth playing. Here's to hoping the game gets finished since many fan games/ports never get completed.

That's kinda cool, liking it.
