Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you liked the theme and concept of the game. I completely understand your point about the font choice impacting readability. In the future, I'll take better consideration into the font I use. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!

A really cute game!!

I added the executable

I'll do that when I get back home 👍

The sprites are well made and the UI is solid too. The aiming/shooting feels quite pleasing.

Soybaby is an awesome username.

A simple, but lovely game

Thanks for checking out it though, even it makes you sick.

Thanks for playing!

I agree the sfx are too loud. They seemed fine when I first added them to the game, but after replaying I realize how loud they are.

I was going to have the score in-game but I can't remember why I didn't. I will add that in if I ever update this game. The score is just the total amount of seconds you survived.

The objects move quicker and the warnings are shorter as the score increases. But I think I made it too insignificant to notice.

Thanks for the feedback and best wishes to you too!

I would like to experiment and see if I enjoy it, but I haven't made and edited any videos before so I'm not too sure. But I would like to try it out first.

Thanks! I'll give it a read.

Thanks! I've pretty much got parallax stuff memorized but if you want to add some to your own game then this tutorial might help. It was originally made for Godot 3 but I think the information is still relevant.

I'm glad I inspired you.

Thanks for the feedback! I think the game becomes too easy when you come to realize that all of the monsters basically aren't a threat. I think I should've added an enemy that chases the player or some other monster that would actually pose as a threat.

Thanks for the feedback! I should've added a clearer explanation in the game instead of hoping that every single player would read the page's description. I think I should've introduced an enemy that either pursues or follows the player which could have added a dynamic element and make it feel less like a chore.

Thanks for the feedback! I originally just wanted the sticks there for decoration and I didn't even think that they could be used as "traps" against the player until I watched people try to avoid them. I'll definitely keep that in mind for the future.

I'm not a huge fan of games with jumpscares, but I do agree that there just isn't a satisfying climax. I'll think of a creative solution.

Looking back on it, I think I made the wolves too cute and not very scary. If I were to make a full release, they would do more than just follow a set path. Like maybe sniff out for the player or listen for twigs snapping.

Thanks for the feedback! I was worried about scope creep so I wanted to make something very simple, but after I submitted my game I felt like it was too simple. Still, I'm glad people enjoyed it.

I can tell that you worked hard on this game. The hardest part for me has always been feeling confident enough to share my games online and I'm really glad that I got to inspire someone to do the same. Don't feel discouraged if you think other games are way better than yours, game development definitely becomes easier with time and practice. I've been programming for years and really hated my first few games but I learned a lot from making them. You'll see that you'll improve over time too. I hope to see more from you in the future!

Thanks!

There is a lot to enjoy with this game. The levels start out very easy but get way tougher later on, especially with the bonus levels. I love the dances that the guys do. After a ton of trial of error, I managed to beat every level in this game, including the 2 secret levels.

cool game and fantastic music

Excellent puzzle design and lots of polish. You did a good job.

Strange. I didn't change anything yet. My friends have been having similar issues

Thanks!

Nice video!

Thanks for feedback! Could you please provide screenshots so I can get see the issue better?

Thanks for playing!

Nice! My personal record is 1:48:55.

Very cool game and I really like the game mechanic! I feel like the game could benefit from having a smaller map, but overall you did a nice job.

Enjoying the game! Managed to light the 3 candles, but I'm stuck at the trap door – it seems open but I can't progress. I suggest adding 'R' or 'Enter' restart option on the game over screen. Also, sound effects like a flame igniting could enhance the experience. Great job overall!

lol I didn't expect that this would be an actual functional game
pretty unique and interesting take👍

Thanks for playing! I still have 3 days left for the jam so I think I'll add difficulty options.

Thank you!

Such a cool game and such a cool concept 👍
you did a good job

sweet game 👍I think the movement was too slippery but everything else was on point
