Yes this release added a new character, and a bit onto the existed Evelyn content. The progress tracker is usually focused on the main goals / levelling up a character, so it will only display something new once I've added new levels to that character.
A new release is coming in a couple of weeks. Progress reports are regularly posted on patreon and subscribestar. I understand that it's a long wait, but I am trying to do 4 updates per year so this sort of timescale should be expected.
I do a major blog post here whenever it gets updated, so I imagine the best thing to do would be to "follow" me and check your account notification settings. You might be able to set an email alert or something there.
Saves should be compatible across versions. They should appear in the save menu automatically. But if it doesn't, you can manually copy the files from the "Saves" folder of your old version to the new one.
