Not really understanding the negativity. Previous Madvents had broken and unfinished games too, as would be expected from what it is: a collection of small games put together by devs of wildly varying experience levels in a short time. Quantum Reindeer is an absurdly well polished outlier.

Frankly, it's a miracle things like this get made at all considering organizing unpaid devs is often compared to herding cats. I, for one, appreciate the work that goes in to giving me a free little digital treat to open every day of December.

I just finished this today. Great work, I was enthralled. If I wanted to nit pick I could say that the charactes don't always react very believably, but it didn't interfere with my enjoyment of unraveling the sequence of events.

I couldn't get the linux native version game to run, and the windows version ran at 2 fps in the WINE bottle I normally use for itch games. I did eventually get it to run at normal fps under proton experimental.

Ok, I did get the Windows version working with Proton Experimental vai Steam (instead of Bottles).

I too appreciate the effort on the Linux build, however it definitely didn't work on my Bazzite system. Something about an unfknown function in libcef.so

So far I haven't been able to run the Windows version under WINE/Proton either, except at 2 FPS.

This rotating comment box is neat and all, but I really wish I could read the comments to see if anyone else is have the technical problem I'm having so I can try to fix it and actually be able to play the game.

I like this. The flavor text really makes it work. Although, I will say that it was a bit odd I chose to save the crew of a fuel tanker in an asteroid field and got food (instead of the promised crew) as a reward. I guess they were a particularly tasty species?
