This game is addictive! I love arcade games and spent quite a bit of time playing yours! I even made it to 3rd place on the leaderboard (adding it was a great idea).

The only downside is the second location: the character blends in with the background, and the background itself is a bit too aggressive/distracting. But overall, the game feels very nice to play, definitely giving 5 stars for gameplay!

Also, it's cool how the music, background, and general look change with the location. It really adds variety to the gameplay and keeps it from getting boring.

Thanks for the interesting and detailed feedback!

Most of the issues you highlighted are indeed bugs (the anomaly spawning behind the player, mouse sensitivity, and the broken jumpscare).

As for the "build-up of fear," we are definitely thinking about it. Our main concern was that if we made a slower intro/backstory, we might lose the player's attention too early. So right now, we are trying to figure out how to make that build-up engaging enough so the player doesn't close the game before reaching the core gameplay.

if you want to search for anomalies in a liminal space: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313041

The game's vibe is awesome and really well-captured. The art in the opening cutscene is fire! I struggled a bit with how to beat the levels, I think they need more explanation. There are so many abilities that it's hard to wrap my head around them all at once. I’d suggest introducing them gradually as the player progresses through the levels.

The game looks beautiful, but it really needs diagonal movement. Also, when walking through doorways, it looks like you're standing on top of the wall rather than inside the opening

Great visuals and solid office atmosphere. The Exit 8 vibes are instantly recognizable,  and the mechanics work exactly as they should.

Great art direction, though the gameplay could use more depth

The color palette and art style are great. I really felt the lack of a score bar to know if I did everything right and didn't mix the wrong ingredients. On a positive note, the simple animation when clicking "Mix" feels very satisfying!

The game feels more like a basic template than a finished experience. it really lacks depth beyond simple movement

XD

The combat feels really satisfying when hitting enemies, and the visuals are great. My only issue is that I lose track of the main character during frequent dashes. Also, the camera shakes even when I'm just standing still, is that intentional?

The 2D art style is really good. However, I spent about 5 minutes trying to use in some wood and craft something, only to find out from the comments that it needs stone. I think the game really needs some kind of crafting guide.

I haven't fully figured out how to play yet. I get that having more objects in the frame increases the score, but I don't understand how the other mechanics (like the shop cards) work.

Sorry but i basically never play jam games unless they have a web build

The animations are really cool. The response is great, and the controls feel really solid.

Very Nice Visuals. How did you make this shadows?

The game feels very polished and well-crafted in many aspects

I got so scared by that "Oh" sound when I was in the house!

An unusual take on the theme. Although, I think I’m just too bad at this game since I couldn't finish the level

Классная атмосфера и визуал. Я застрял на месте где 3 выхода, и нужно кликать E. Так же эпизод с лесом в показался затянутым. Так же спасибо за русскую локализацию)
