I understand and it's perfectly fine, I will explain. The extras not normally in pico8 are features like:

1. "save states"
2. a debugger to help developer investigate issues with their games.
3. a script engine to record and replay the inputs so developers ( mostly ) can replay a specific scenario and investigate easier an issue or a mechanic of their game.

For the moment nothing more. So as you seen there is nothing actually required to play the games and most of the people will be fine with the free features. Anyone interested in these features or in supporting the app's development is welcome to make a purchase.

The authors are credited having their name just below the title and there is a link to the BBS post so players can reach them and follow their work.

Various developers are onboard already, but anyway this is not a one way decision, even if you say yes now you can always change idea and ask me to remove it. The only aspect I must be clear is that I would not be able to remove it from the past installation on the users devices, if they don't update the app at least. Only future installation would not have anymore the game. I can send you a couple of videos if you want to have a look before deciding. I can't find your bluesky handle in your profile, but if you want to continue this discussion in private you can reach me on bluesky at https://bsky.app/profile/macs.eurosky.social . Thanks a lot dor considering this!

Hi Keys! This game is amazing, I hope you are going to continue its development! I would like to feature it in a list of curated games that I will ship with my new android application. It is a free application, no ads or nag screens, but it has a in app purchase for some extra feature not normally available in pico8. Would that be ok for you?

Hi @SmartAlloc, I'm writing an android app to play pico8 games, would you mind if I include "Oblivion Eve" in a curated list of games? The app is free, no ads, no nag screens but it will have some optional paid features not normally available in pico8 ( save states, debugger, script engine.. ) is it ok for you?

Hi Louie! I've created a new android app that soon I will publish, Pixl8, to play Pico8 natively, I would like to add Kalikan to the curated list of games that are included.
It will have a link to the original BBS thread, but I can link to this page if you prefer.
I have to confess the this was the one of the first games I tested the engine on and when finally I got it running fine I was super happy, awesome game. Anyway the app is free, no ads, no nag screens, but it will have some optional paid feature like save state ( to help me continue the development ). Is it ok for you?

Great port!

yeah the shop does not attract much at the end, maybe each skin should give a little bonus, like one give a bit more speed, one bullets are more powerful, one has speedier bullets, one has the ship more sturdy, one give a bit of permanent magnet like you said.

Finally finished the game, nice change with the last level, luckily I bough some extra ship and I managed to survive some difficult steering thanks to the boost speed. I enjoined playing it, as a fist game I would say a real success. As suggestion I would add some more weapon, like something that fires also diagonally, maybe a temporary shield that gives indestructibility for some seconds. The Level 4 and 7 where you can only evade are difficult and you don't have any reward at the end, maybe throw a couple of diamonds here and there.. or at the end two mystery "?"  treasure that can give you money or weapons.

Can't go deeper at the moment but if you want to give a bit of arcade retro feeling to it when you start the game instead of immediate choice of difficult level, give a bit of "attract more" feeling: show the various item explaination like you do on the webpage, maybe the score chart with some default entries, and would be nice to see between those some short  CPU gameplay of different levels, but this could be more difficult to implement.

Just did a simple run, but for the moment seems really a nice game, great work. Will play more the upper levels to see how it changes.
