I can't upgrade thorium when the cost is 40 iron. I have over 400 iron, but nothing happens when I click on the button.

I suggest flashing the taskbar button when a new screen is unlocked. It took me a while to notice the mining screen at first.

You could have curious souls gather around them when not being chased.

Was the crystal formation near the tree meant to do something? I couldn't get it to do anything at any level.

The plants are a little difficult to get to light up so I can interact with them. I had a few plants that grew a bit, but never seemed to ripen.

EDIT: Are the mushrooms in the forest meant to do anything? They glow red with little particles around them like maybe they're meant to be important, but I didn't notice any effects if there were any.

How do I turn the visual effects off? I can't read the text.

The font choice, text size, and colour vs the background makes much of the text unreadable, if it's noticeable at all.

How do I open the menu? Pressing escape just kills me.
