Yeah, the pink totems were checkpoints, I don't know if they worked, they were pretty frequent though. Also, the knights do have different abilities, I'll add what they do in the description

You're never teleported in the game, if you're going to give feedback, could you maybe be a little more specific?

Hey! Great game, by the way you seem to have an error that if you hold a or d against a wall you get stuck, I had the same error. A good fix for it is to remove friction from the player
