No, the custom NPCs aren't in yet. This is a workaround that lets you mess with existing NPCs by including them in your character description. I just enter in something like, "Rosalyn likes to bully him." in the character description and BAM, Rosalyn is a bully and likes to push your buttons. I tried making it so no characters could speak and got some interesting stuff. Just a fun way to mess around with what we have.

I think it's the character trait that makes the AI pay closer attention to character descriptions that lets this happen. I have been having fun with it.

I think when it comes to things like "all foxes are blue," you need to use specific character names since the AI sometimes struggles with who is a fox and who isn't. I have had dialog where a character calls themselves a wolf or me a fox. So if you are targeting specific characters it might be best to name them in the description. Which is why I wish I had more than 400 characters to work with.

I 100% like this little discovery as it lets us add a little flavor to the world in ways that is not just our own character.

Anyone test if adding a blanket quality to the town in your player description for custom NPCs works? For example, if you add "everyone in Silverpine is a secret shapeshifter." Would that apply since the game checks your character description for dialog with each NPC and make them all shapeshifters?

Edit: This has some interesting effects. I was able to have Rosalyn be a feral fox (which surprised me, since she was described as using her mouth and nose to manipulate things, it seems to have gone the whole nine yards with this one). Turned everyone into women. Made everyone walk on their hands. All by adding that detail to my own character description. I just wish I had more than 400 characters so I can go wild with it.

Is there any punctuation that I can use to tell the AI if I am setting a scene or talking? Such as putting quotation marks around sentences that are being spoken, like you would in a book? I am trying to set a scene or force a narrative but the AI keeps thinking my character is saying whatever I input. So if I were to put "I have no idea Rosalyn is a murdering psychopath," for example, without quotations, it thinks my character is CALLING her a psychopath rather than her BEING one. Is there a way to tell the AI specifically when I am speaking and not speaking?

Yeah, but there isn't really any point. The potions are temporary, and nothing you do with Acacia matters. You don't gain more rep with her and are still on a death timer.

MetalWingedWolf is right, you can only interact with Acacia by grinding out dungeons for Allure potions or crafting them. Even then, the character is on a countdown to kill you. No matter what you do, Acacia is a bad end and you can't increase your rep with her, making interacting with her completely pointless unless you want to RP your character's death.

I am currently unable to download Gemma sparce. I keep getting "HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found." This applies to all three versions. Gemma and Gwen.

They like to force feed you sweets when they feel sorry for your character.

Old bug started occurring. Where the NPCs start to have dialog in first person. This has happened about 3 times but isn't that bad. I had it talk for me once. Haven't gotten it to do that again but thought I would mention it. This was on Qwen.

So what happened with Mistral Small that made you want to remove it? Was it getting too buggy or something? Or did you find a better option? Just curious.

Usually at night a few tiles out into the wilderness. If you are near the swamp they are common at night.

Yeah, I was EXTREMELY disappointed when I worked for hours to get an item in the first two dungeons to get Acacia not to murder me, just to learn it was all the potions I had been skipping. I DESPISE the PvE content in this game. The slimes and bats make me rage so hard because I just do NOT care and want to get past them. I went through the trouble of getting the game to generate plate mail armor for my character and 3 star weapons, it still felt awful getting around with the slows and confusion. All so I could interact with a character I couldn't actually interact with. I was not happy at all during the last patch and I admit that I am still salty about it. The whole experience was AWFUL. I will never do a dungeon again.

I still hold out the hope that Acacia will get an update to make her interactable without a temporary potion. I completely agree with how unique her interactions are and really just want to play around and see what stories or interesting stuff I can generate with it

One can only hope the forest NPC becomes more interactive. Still bummed out that I cannot do any RP with the character without grinding content I don't enjoy and that based on everyone else's comments, rep has no impact and doesn't increase.

Would be interesting to need the potions to start, then once rep reaches a certain threshold she stops trying to kill you.

Second dungeon is apparently the Glacial Fortress in the mountains.

the flooded caves are considered a dungeon. What I want to know is what exactly is considered dungeon loot. Is it just the stuff in chests? Can it drop from monsters? Or from broken pots?

Is there a way to increase or decrease the amount of Vram the game is seeing after it has already been set? I checked to see if I could get the option to pop up again but I don't see it. I might also just be blind. I accidentally set the Vram to 12 and it has made the game take 30 seconds or a minute to generate dialog when previously it only took a few seconds. I am working with a 4080 Super so I have 16 gigs to throw at it. This was with Mistrel to be clear.

I did read in a previous update that some tweaks were being made to try and make room for more future characters. I hope that goes smoothly. I also wouldn't mind rp combat, I generally just make my character an asshole or just keep poking Gareth, Oriana or Darian for combat rp. I would like to see a character that is openly antagonistic towards the PC, some more conflict would be interesting.

That seems like it would take up a lot of the AI's capabilities... I would rather it generate better dialog responses and have better memory than generate images. The combat rp potential would be nice but again, I would rather see the current story generation be improved over that. Or some new characters. I don't pretend to know what I am talking about but, I imagine the Mistral model should add new content just due to having more Vram access, given that most of the content is determined by the player and how they do things.

I always look forward to your updates, they always feel like progress. I did notice that it asks me what model to use every time I fire it up, despite turning the option off in settings. I am currently using Mistral Small.

I believe the quicksave can do that?
