It's alright, that one's on me—I forgot to mention I recently updated to the latest SAI 2 build (2026.07.04), which no longer supports exporting to the legacy .sai format. It does seem the update changed a few things here and there, nothing to do with your work.. Since regsvr32 completes successfully and returns DllRegisterServer succeeded, the issue likely isn't with the DLL itself or its registration, but rather with how the new file format is being written or interpreted by the thumbnail handler

Heya, so umm, ran into a few problems installing it either with the .bat files and manually. My W10 version is 22H2, my LUA is enabled, and I dismarked "Always show icons, never thumbnails". Here's the thing:

System: Windows 10 22H2 (64-bit), installed on C:

I store my Sai2 in an external disk (F:)

Regsvr32 shows "DllRegisterServer succeeded" when registering from the SAI 2 folder or System32.

Thumbnails still don't show. The explorer just displays the default SAI 2 icon even after:

-Cleaning thumbnail cache (both via Disk Cleanup and manually deleting thumbcache_*.db)

-Restarting explorer.exe and full system reboots

-Copying the DLL to System32 and registering from there

-Using both the .bat installer and manual registration

The issue happens on ALL drives (C: and F:), not just the external one, but I suspect it might be related to the fact that the SAI 2 installation is on a non-system drive. Been trying to fix this for hours and nothing seems to work
