Great to hear that you've already fixed those issues.

However the issue with Lani is that she is earning the XP from the chicken fight while *not* in the party, i.e. I can't equip her with the Eyes.

I am trying to get as much training done as possible before heading to the dungeon, and I was hoping that I could kill the chicken to get the extra stats, but even without Lani in my party she gets bonus stats from its death - surely this must be a bug?

PS while I have your attention, can I suggest an improvement? The Soul Box needs to be populated with the items you chose the last time you died, and you need to add the ability to remove items.

PPS also the ability to buy a few potions at a time, the slider is set way too high: the least amount of minor potions I can buy is 88 and no one needs to buy 39k of them which is the max

PPPS the ability to check stats in camp would be nice too

OK so re: the Challenger challenge: it turns out that you specifically coded a death scene in which the Goddess of Time says "I can't believe you tried a 4-star dungeon when you were only level 1"... touché.

I thought I was being really clever to save-scum until I got a key door and a level 60 giant metal slime, but then, despite putting a bunch of points into Intelligence, my Light Spear spell did 2 damage...

Thanks for the Lani info, it sounds like this is event is later than I expected it, the guide I was following made it seem much sooner:

Raise Stats

Beat Lani (Sparring)

See her scene

Join Guild and go on a mission

Ask Lani to join party

Take Lani to Guild

Beat Lani (Sparring)

See her scene (Massage)

There's a note on that last tip that reads "Special scene if you ask for a date, then see them in Marla’s Room the next evening (Before the date happens)"

I downloaded this guide from Lewdzone IIRC.

Also, re: Challenger, it seems the only way to get the top rank is to raise stats as much as possible before doing any fights (i.e before chicken fight) and then go straight to the 4-star dungeon and rely on Light magic skills to beat mobs, I will try this on my next life.

Any tips on raising Magic Proficiency? I edited my original comment so you may not have seen that question.

A few questions:

1) I'm unable to get the date with Lani that the guide I'm using talks about - and I noticed your reply to a comment below about the requirements. I'm on my 19th life and have never seen this event as far as I can tell. I have only ever been able to spar with Lani twice. In fact this event (the 2nd in the Lani Hints page) is one of only two I've not been able to trigger (the other is the dungeon tent event that requires "a certain set of titles")

2) I'm also finding it hard to unlock some of Marla's events, the ones that start with her daring you to hold your breath. The first time she asked I was too low level and passed out, then after a few deaths I managed to pass the test but still pass out afterwards, but I after this she doesn't ask me again

3) how does the Challenger title work, does it require you to fight mobs above your level, or does it work with mobs below your level? What are the "penalties" that are reduced by the title?

4) How do you raise Magic Proficiency stat? I have level 10 Light skill but only 6 in MP
