Pěkná retro atmosférická hříčka. Hra má výborně zpracovaný a koherentní visuál.

Nice little game with very nice graphics. Just 2 things I would improve:
- Having the game just shut down after the ending is… not so nice. Since you mentioned in the other comment, that you wanted to make a little game about morality, it could be super cool to show like a tree of the decisions you made and where it led (sort of like in Detroit: Become human) or something like that.
- The walk speed is just sooo sooo slow. At least for me, if you would bump it up a little bit, the game would be more enjoyable for me.
Otherwise, a great little game, good job.
A very interesting take on a jam game. The art is great and the story is nice and funny. Altough a fun concept, it is bit of a shame you had to work in such limitations (altough I respect the effort!), since I think you could have easily expanded the story into something even greater. As other have mentioned, make-your-own-story books might be an interesting genre for you to experiment with (be it in either physical or digital variant). Overall, very cool idea, and thank you for making it real (if even for the sake of creating something unordinary).
Thank you for the comment. I agree that there could be more interactions between players. To the speed issue, you can actually spend some of the cash you gain for upgrades, (at the upgrades shop opposite the "human" shop) one of them being speed increase. After about 2 speed upgrades you can even catch up with the humans running away.
Great idea for puzzle game. Really enjoyed the part where you push the cart in the past and see its wreck move in the present, just WOW! I can imagine a ton of puzzles using this mechanic. That being said, it is sad that we do not see so much puzzles here. The game features a few levels, which I would rather call a platformer with reality shifting than a puzzle game.
However, I greatly enjoyed it. The movement feels good. The visuals are simple but good looking. The intro cutscene is superb.
Good job guys!
Great game, Great visual, supreme mechanic, not so great use of ingredients? Personally, I enjoyed every aspect of the game, but just didn't really see the ingredients used much in the game, which is a shame.
But I really want to highlight the main mechanic of the game: throwing and catching the egg and fighting in between. ABSOLUTELY GREAT! Loved it!
Also the ending; lmao.
Overall, great job on the game, I just wish the ingredients were used better (maybe I am missing something but still).
I had a lot of fun playing this game... for about 1 minute. After that it was just the same thing over and over again. I build a larger colony to get some money so that I could get more upgrades, but by the time I clicked to get the upgrades I wanted, half my colony died and I had to start building again. Sure, I get that this is what the game is about, but I just think that with an addition of a few features it could get so much more fun. An option to buy some kind of auto-clicker would greatly help. Having some abilities with a cooldown that could help me fling part of the colony across the level, or make it quickly expand in a burst. All that could make the game more fun, and most importantly, for longer.
However, to not be so negative, the game has a very nice a visual, and the UI is top-notch IMO. The sound and music of the game is great and very fitting.
Overall, I think it is a game with a lot of potential, if more features are added. Also, shipping it for mobile could make a huge difference as clicking/tapping is more natural there.
Very nice game with simple but great looking visual and sounds. I very like the usage of the"border" ingredient. There are just 2 problems I had with the game:
1) The close-range mushrooms could benefit from a better pathfinding. Right now, they often get stuck on an edge an obstacle and are unable to move on.
2) I see the benefit of being able to shoot in the opposite direction than you are moving in (using the IJKL keys), but this benefit this is kinda killed by the fact that the character stops to shoot. You could get rid of the IJKL keys altogether and just make the character shoot in the way it is facing. It would not make any change to the gameplay, and make the controls simpler.
Overall, a very nice little game with good coherent visual and audio fitting the jams theme nicely. I can totally imagine that playing this game on a "gameboy like" device would be a total blast!
Having 3 games in one is really a cool idea. It is interesting to see the differences between the sad reality of the princess and the happy and bright afterlifes.
The art is wonderful and the mnigames are fun to play. It could do with a little bit more story, or story telling, but I understand that it is very hard to that during 48 hours.
Overall a great game, altough a little short, that I really enjoyed playing.
What a twist! I think I have never seen a game like this. Great idea! It was fun to think about the positions and combinations of the turrets, so that (SPOILER!) you can let the rebels kill the King.
The visual side is authentic to the experience and the audio is nice. It could just do with a little more levels and turrets.
Great work, I really did enjoy playing this.
It's just so much fun to combine random animal body parts! Altough there 17 levels (if I remember correctly) I finished it quite quickly, because somewhere around the 6th level I got a snake body with legs of some animal I dont remember, and after that it was just super easy, because the snake hit like a truck and could one-shot kill every enemy. Some more levels and maybe a more difficulty would be welcomed.
The visual, the audio and everthing inbetween is very well done. It was a pleasure to play this game. It is the kind of game I would to play on my phone, just quickly assemble a few pets and put them to fight.
Great work!
I think this game is way too hard, or I am way too bad. What certainly would need some work is the UI, for example, in the shop between waves I had no idea how many souls I had and what I could buy. I don't know if any new enemies are introduced later in the game, because I did not get there.
Another issue I see are the collisions and the navigation of the enemies. I feel like the enemies just go in a straight path to the altair, but they could use some simple pathfinding algorithm.
To also be positive, the audio design is great and the cutscene at the beginning is just top-notch.
The game could use a little work to unlok it's full potential, but overall it is a nice base-defense game.
At first I thought that this game does not offer much, BUT... I was wrong and right at the same time. Let me explain:
It does not offer much in the sense of levels, various turrets or enemy variaty, but those are all things that could be added with a little bit of time. But it does offer quite a lot in the sense of gameplay and mainly fun! For me it is just so funny with the music and all the sound effects. I just wish there were more turrets and enemies to use. However, the pathfindig is a great addition and I really enjoyed messing with this game for a while.
Great job!
First thing, how huge is the map :D? For one of my attemts I just ran without any fighting for as long as I could, and maybe I got lost somewhere, but I did not see the end.
I also agree that the bottom bar is just waaaaay too big. Maybe even putting it on the side would be viable as you mostly progress downwards.
Apart from that, the game is nice. The art is coherent, the combat presents a nice challenge and the reincarnation mechanic is cool. Most importantly, the combat feels good. You can really learn to fight well with bit of practice. So, good job on that!
Altough I am not a fan of this genre it was nice to play it. I really liked the random events that would happen and also that these events communicated pretty well what the outcome would be.
As others have mentioned, the UI could use some more work. As of now, it is mostly utilitarian, which is totaly understandable for a gamejam (making a moderatly good looking UI is hard as hell for me). It would also be nice to see how much food the village consumes each day, so you can plan a little.
Overall, a nice game which fans of this genre will surely enjoy!
Yeah, I kinda agree with you. The sacrfice is there, and I wanted it to be linked to the second incredience (devils attorney), but, as I learned after the jam, I understood that ingredience a bit differently.
The castle was meant to be there a bit more, not just as a blockade that is in the current game.
And finaly, I had an idea for reincarnation, but did not have time to finish it.
