We've done April Fools updates but they're traditionally done outside of SMC itself, e.g. primarily on our website. The SMC gameplay is unhindered even on April Fools, though there's several of April Fools levels made by the community, hehe

Generally, a whole development cycle of an update varies on average from 4 to 6 weeks, though it can be shorter or longer depending on the scope of the update.

Heya, glad to hear you're liking the game! I'm not sure if I fully understand your question yet, are you trying to create levels procedurally using algorithms?

The way SMC levels are shared is in the form of level codes, these are basically just large JSON strings that tell the game how to construct a level. People can simply share this level code around.

Heya! Unfortunately I don't know for sure if the game will work on Windows 8, but you could try installing Windows WebView2 for Windows 8 and maybe it'll work (again, unfortunately I'm not 100% sure). Alternatively you can play the HTML5 version on our site: https://levelsharesquare.com/

A modloader for the web version is being made by The Flying Dutchman, our other LSS admin!

A Linux version is planned to come out soon! Unfortunately no promises on Mac versions, since I don't own one to test the game on.
