Try out my game! Its a horde game where you must survive nights by escaping enemies and shoot them. Interact with other characters trapped in the camp to upgrade your stats, heal yourself, and learn of why everyone is trapped their. I didn't have time to make a win screen, but after you defeat the boss you win the game. Link is here, I only had a few days experience with Godot before entering this, my first ever game jam. I hope you enjoy and have fun: https://itch.io/jam/godot-wild-jam-66/rate/2532802

Thanks for playing, I originally was going to have Val give you choices to upgrade between, damage, range, reload speed, along with some of the other characters like Sam be able to give you items for better view distance, movement speed and the sort. Time and lack of experience held me back for those ideas. This difficulty system is actually an improvement to my original one I made 3 days into the competition, where night 2 was super hard. I think I just needed to make a few number adjustments and more playtesting to really hit that sweet spot. I'm glad you enjoyed the gameplay of it  all.

Thanks! The issue you reported with the space bar has to do with how I handled the night/day progression. In order to prevent players from accidentally spending too much time than they wanted with an NPC during the day I used a timer between when you can use spacebar to accept the NPCs' services. In the future I should probably lower the timer a bit for better user experience.

It didn't even cross my mind to add in a menu to show how much you've progressed. Thanks for the input and will keep that in mind going forward. Audio was added last minute, and I didn't have enough time to research how to implement it in properly before leaving for my vacation. I'll be sure to make more time for that in future jams, and thanks for the review :)

thanks! I had a lot of fun making this game for my first game jam. I wanted to get to play testing the game more, but I had to leave for a vacation an hour after I submitted the game. I also only had about 4 days experience with the Godot game engine prior to the jam. I can't wait for next month's when I have more experience and time  for my disposal.
