Publicly linking the blog article where I talk about every game from this jam so that it's easier to access. Also might do a retroactive ranking of last years' just for fun at some point

"Hello, peak department? You're never gonna believe this."

Is there anything after the "you made it" screen? neat game

Peak

I can't move even before doing the fold thing

In my top 5, hands down

Very cute non-overcomplicated game, the clock ticking sound kinda stresses me out a bit though. I'm stuck on getting the ladder to come down but I'll try again later

idk if my computer's broken but im not sure how to progress from here, WASD doesn't seem to be giving a response from what I can see

I'm having trouble entering the gameplay loop; after I pick my three cards it seemingly gets stuck on this screen. Am I missing something? Concept art looks really promising

Absolutely killed it with the retro and cozy feel, and the graphics / sound are top notch, especially considering there wasn't prior knowledge of the mystery theme. It feels shorter than what it was originally scoped out to be, but honestly I still walked away feeling like I got a full experience of someone's idea.

Sorry to hear. For future reference, would putting a motion sickness warning at the top of the description be helpful?

I love how it only takes 10 seconds for the police to materialize onto any murder scene, no matter the distance or context

I wonder if this guy likes horses

We are garageband

Thank you, that does mean a lot. I'm pretty stoked with the final product all things considered, but yeah I did kind of screw up with that 7th note placement; It's in the twilight area (where it's hard to see), so that's kinda my oversight. Love the fact that you enjoyed it though. Also, the ending isn't much you're missing out on, it just solidifies the events of the story via the computer's own text record

They are the two I have left. They feel like they're each gonna take like 3 times as long as everything else combined, I will update on how it goes

I didn't know there was a journal, I will look into that for round 2

WHAT DID YOU MAKE ;-;

It's that scratch game all over again

What a gangster

Really cute! Love the animations and the combination aspect is pretty fun. I'm seeing more potential in the application of the "mystery" theme though

Good art, I'm stuck trying to figure out the code to the suitcase though

ty! :>

no it was figuring out what to do with the script in the first place, like I have a python interpreter and I tried running it with that but I'm not sure if I need to download a library or something? cuz a window popped up and then disappeared, if I had to guess it's probably incompetence on my end or something

great visuals! tho my windows kinda glitched though and idk why

agreed this is a sick first jam game! great assets!

Also the forest is giving "the king's chariot cannot be stopped" if you know what I mean

Amazing! How did you export a scratch game to HTML???

fnaf????

I'm seriously wowed by the body tracking concept you guys implemented for this, though unfortunately I wasn't able to play it as intended cause I had to give up trying to get the script to work lol

thanks lol

oh yeah it's just a bit to the upper right when you spawn in, I would change it to make it clearer if i could tbh

great game, also the player character is really cute

This is some markiplier let's play type stuff lol, great game

can I get a hint for the level with the two moving "platforms"

[SPOILERS] bro that quote about love for a second instead of eternity as a god is so freaking gripping omg

For how long you hold the note down, it's actually kinda subtle, but dashes - are supposed to mean you hold the note out while underscore _ is no note whatsoever. Though, you'll mostly only encounter the underscores at the beginning when there aren't any notes to play for the entire screen, cause I basically intended every note to be held down until the next note, so in reality its mostly a vestigial remain of what I initially thought of.

As for not knowing what notes are on the next page (or when the page will change), I totally agree that it's not the best way for it to work, but time was definitely an issue and I also understood that people would probably get familiar with it a few plays, so I decided to work on other parts of the game like the title screen instead. If I had to make a change I think I would add a fifth line at the bottom called "NEXT" and showing the first line of the next page, whether or not it was the same or a different page.

My initial plan did include adding live feedback like you mentioned (it would have been the previous line turning green yellow, red, etc) , but again, time is everyone's enemy during a game jam lol.

Thank you for the feedback and for playing my game!

Love the music, really happy with your camera angle choice cause this would be impossible with actual horse vision (source: horse head man)

The entire time I played I was asking myself "how did they manage to pull this off in only 3 days?" because it exceeded my expectations gameplay and content-wise. Unfortunately, I couldn't swim into the open tunnel at the end of the mall level because of an invisible wall, so in case it was some kinda hitbox I went through the gap that takes you out of bounds to see if I could trigger it from the other side. And... I drowned because my player got stuck and couldn't move lol. That's mostly on me for intentionally going out of bounds though, obv
