like, is there not a way to recover stamina?

sorry, I'm genuinely trying to enjoy this game but, am I going crazy or is like none of the stuff in this game really explained? My stamina is constatnly low, I cant pass any checks and i can't earn money because each night lasts a maximum of like 20 seconds before it cuts off... am I missing something here
