really like all your choices in melodies and also the general chaotic vibe

Thank you mr! really nice to read some kind words! I guess my strategy of putting the track streaming on my page instead of living only an mp3 download mde my lose some voters, but its ok, Iam here for the fun!

Think you mate, we have almost the same age! Nice to meet someone with experience!

Fits perfectly on your theme!

You can listen to the track on the page without download!

hey man, my discord is ltron_music

Like it!

I really liked the minimalist touch, the inclusion of small arpeggios that sound almost like sound effects, in a Zelda Breath of the Wild kind of way when there are piano touches here and there.

Honestly, I didn't even need to read the whole context to know that it was on the theme.

I liked the Woodwalkers, it sounds like video game music!

These things sometimes seem more complicated than they actually are when applied.

For example, I completely strayed from the topic because I used intervals of fourths instead of using chords formed with fourths, but I had fun in the process, so it's okay.

Keep up the good work!

I liked your almost artisanal process, I would definitely watch a video of the process of creating the songs!

I liked the differences between song 1 and 2, my favorite was song pt 2. That synth lead timbre is one of my favorites, always use that too!

I would just tone down the mid-high frequencies a bit.

I thought it perfectly matched what was described as a hypothetical game

The recording and mixing quality is also very good.

Yes, you're right about 7/8!

It was really cool to have the opportunity to experiment with a time signature that's not so common in my productions!

About the brass section, I thought it would be interesting since it's a Boss fight and the quartal harmony ends up being very uplifting at times. There has to be that moment where you are challenged!

Yes, I'm always learning more so I can be useful in creating games, but always focusing on music and sounds.

About the image, I made a composition using different assets, I put a print in the post in case people suspect the use of AI.

Since there was no Discord, I'll put it here.

I compose in several styles, orchestral, synthwave and more...

I also use FMOD to implement dynamic music in games.

My social with music and videos

Soundcloud

I also find the first track more catchy!

Thank you very much for the kind words, as it was my first musical jam I ended up not taking full advantage of the capacity of the detailed description of my ideas in words, ahaha but the idea was for the songs to be very distinct from each other, the song Free City is really supposed to be a simple song that is being played by musicians in a medieval city where the character enters and the final victory would be the Grand Finnale in the end game.

Since I had little time due to my daily work, my ear ended up so tired that I didn't notice the effect of compression on the percussion. When I realized it, I couldn't work on it anymore, but I will create a "remaster"

Nice to hear someone using the real instrument!

I like the world music vibe (even if it's not intentional) It reminds me of what I tried to do in my own entry, but yours is more natural!

I felt some nostalgic vibe in your composition, like your use of instruments almost as textures!

I have learned a lot about Greek modes, the music was having a very simple development in the chords, but the moment came when I couldn't resist and I borrowed some notes outside the D major scale!

Thank you!

when I was making the songs I thought about how good it would be to be free for the first time walking through a vibrant medieval city

Thank you, you understood my intention, I really wanted to make a string-focused sound that was slowly moving more towards the harmonic side, which some people might find boring, but it was intentional not to have staccatos or too much percussion.

Thank you!

I used 03 different string libraries doubling the main harmony to try to make the sound more massive, they were Symphoni Essencials, Berlim Orchestral and Session Strings Pro 2. For the higher melodies and basses I used a library called Metropolis Ark, it has a very epic sound. I also used the choirs from it, but I don't know if the samples lost quality in the mix or if I overdid the compression!

I will still make better versions, there was a moment when my ear started to betray me!

Thank you!
I wanted to work more on the second track but there was a moment when I realized I would have to stop or I wouldn't have time to finish it!

Thank you sir, appreciate !

hahahaha no way, I was reading in Discord that some guys were asking to put more than 15 min of songs combined, alot of talented people!

Yeah, last night I felt like my ear was no longer able to tell right from wrong, and man, there's a part of one of my songs that sounded really bad when I listened to it this morning, and it's actually kind of screaming!

I also had to finish it yesterday, as I have another daily job, I couldn't send it today. The hard part is that only after sending it, with my ears more "rested", I realized that I had overdone the compression. I'll have to do a remastered version.

But now it's done!
