Correct. That's part of the rules. 2 moves and 1 rotation 👍

WAV File now available

WAV file to follow soon, so that you can play Altairis on the real hardware

Grab the new files from the main page

OK, I have updated the WAV as well 😎

Updated the TXT version. I have increased the performance of the screen draw. Its now twice as quick at drawing the grid.

Updated the TXT version with a new screen draw routine. I have increased the screen draw by 200%, so now it plays much better. If you need an updated WAV version, just drop me a comment.

WOW Thanks Sheila!! Good to know!! I suspect it runs significantly quicker on the RC than it does on my humble 680!!

Uploaded a new TXT version. Small bug fix that corrected an issue when running in demo mode

It is! I wrote it a couple of years ago, but have made several updates over the years. Only just got around to putting it on here. It is still the only (and 1st!) game for the Aquarius II

Absolutely love this remastering of the original D&D game. A lot of time and effort has gone in to this to make it even more awesome than the original. Great graphics and game play.

How do you load this? the file name to load contains an _   but there is no _ on a Lynx !? :(

WAV File doesnt work on real HW :(

Any joy with a WAV version?

Holy crap!! a new MAX game!!! Absolutely awesome!! thank you!

Love playing the VG5000 version!! but cant get the .sd version for my MO5 to work :(

Just CLOAD, then choose the .caq file. Once loaded, type RUN

Most of my games do!! I like to make sure there is a demo mode for when I am showing my games off at exhibitions. Glad you're enjoying BC2!!

I recommend Aqualite

No problem!! I hope you enjoy it!

Updated the TXT file to v1.49. Just had to squeeze in an extra char colour change when you die, so that the red border doesnt look off set.

Ah ok thanks. That's a shame, as many more 48k real machines are out there compared to the 96k ones.

Is this a Lynx 48k game?

Hi, your game looks brilliant, but unfortunately it doesnt seem to run on the real hardware. I have tried several times (converting it to a WAV) and trying various TAPE 0 to 5 settings. Could you please confirm which TAPE speed is required? Do you have a working WAV file for real hardware? Of course, I am assuming that this will run on my 48K Lynx??

Any chance of a .wav version to load on real hardware?

Loving this game! Awesome! I can confirm that the WAV loads perfectly on my real ACE, as well as my Minstel.

Hi Jim. The judging process is a closed environment, I'm afraid. I think if there had been more submissions I may have opened it up to public votes, but as it stands the judging process is well on its way. Stay tuned for the results!

All, please remember that there is a wee bit more to do than just the game! Please read the rules, as you will be marked down if not all the information is submitted!!

Too powerful!!!!!!!???? Good job I know you :) Nice to see the Elk enter the fray :)

Hi Greg. That's fine mate, I'm aware of the txt translation from the control chars. If you could include a screen shot showing the code 'as on screen' that would be great. Cheers.

Excellent, thanks Jim. I see you have submitted another! Wow!

Hi Jim, and thanks for that, but it would make my life a bit easier if the txt version was included in the submission.

Hi Jim, great work on the submissions so far! Could I ask if there is a TXT version of your code included in the zip? I can only find the .C10 versions. The reason being that as part of the judging process, I have automated the 72 char check, and I need a raw TXT.

Right... I see your point. So..... As long as your presented source code is within 72 chars, thats fine. In other words, please make sure that the source code you present as a document (or txt file) is the abbreviated version, and not the expanded 'LIST' command version. Happy for the expanded version to be included as an addition to the submission if you like. Does that help?

Hi Jim. Having researched the method, I am happy that it complies with the rules 👍
