This was such a greaat little game! I really like how you guys did the fishing mechanics! The artwork was also fantastic. Great submission! I also made a fishing game so feel free to check it out if you want to but I think you guys crushed it!

Thank you so much for playing and thank you for the feedback. There were quite a few gameboy games back in the day that did utilize vocal samples and I wanted to capture some of those vibes since I fell in love with the crunchy recorded  audio!

Thank you so much for playing! Yeah we would love to change up the gameplay if we have a second go at it haha. The other locations were originally going to have custom art for each location when you clicked into them but now there is just one key piece at each location and as you gain key pieces the dots disappear letting you know you have collected that ones key piece~

I'll play through again and send over some screenshots. I'm Determined to get further this time >:D

thank you so much for playing! I had a ton of fun making the assets (Im glad you noticed the bubbles lmao)

Thank you so much again for playing and streaming my game! It was nice seeing how people work through the rods and lures

Thank you so much for playing! I know its a funny color palette and it lets us get a lot of flexibility!

Thank you so much! Can't wait to play :D

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you had fun and like the jams and eye candy!

The art and music are super good! The little character could sometimes get caught up on slopes but everything else felt so solid. Killing enemies felt very satisfying. Great jam submission!

The art is so cute and I really like the environment. Unfortunately I couldn't get past the tutorial on the first level. I'm releasing J and it launches me up but it just won't clear over the wall even though it looks like it should. I'll come back to this again later just in case it's user error. I hope I get to see the rest of it because even just that beginning area looks great!

Thank you so much for playing! We're glad you enjoyed the vibes~

Thank you so much for playing! I'm sorry that the progression felt too difficult! We wanted to make it so that in the beginning it takes a little bit of time collecting some money and then it starts to get easier as you go. When the fish turns around and you hear the audio cue that means it is fighting again you and if you continue to crank it will snap your line.  Thank you again for playing and for the feedback! I want to make another fishing game in the future and this definitely helps :D

Thank you so much for playing! We wanted to split upgrades between lures and rods to give the game a little bit of length and also an excuse to draw some more sprites haha. I'm glad you liked it!

This has been probably the most satisfying game entry I have seen yet! super addictive and the perfect length. What a great submission!

Super pretty game! I loved all of the animations and character designs. It was a little tricky to tell what I was supposed to be doing sometimes. Overall though this was a ton of fun to play and I enjoyed the platforming quite a bit! This is a great submission!

This was awesome! I really loved the artwork and the attention to detail throughout the game. The bird saying the fireplace was too hot was a great little hint as well. Super well done!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the wiggly underwater effect (I achieved it by using Juice FX which is a great tool for creating 2d effects!) I also very much enjoyed the wiggle~

super fun little RPG. The hitboxes for the enemies were unforgiving but that seemed very gameboy haha. The music is an absolute BOP and I enjoyed every track. Great submission!

I'll keep my eyes peeled for it then. Great submission!

thank you so much for playing! I'm glad you liked the artwork and music :D

Challenge of gold is certainly a challenge! The platforming is unforgiving lmao. the character would often get stuck just trying to jump up to the next block but if the controls were adjusted a little bit I think it would be a slam dunk rage platformer. I wished there was just bit more variety when it came to the environment and the music/sound as well but the art that was there was pretty good and the characters were really cute. I liked the little things they would say as you came across them on your adventure!

The idea is pretty solid though it's very confusing to wrap your head around at first. It took quite a bit of trial and error to even figure out the game and even then it felt a little clunky. would have loved to have had a little bit of music to jam to while working through these enemies. The only other feedback is that some of the boards you get make it so you do very little damage which can make it so a battle takes a long time.
All-in-all a pretty quirky game! I bet this would really shine if you had some time to polish it up. Most of the artwork is pretty great so I hope that you update this after the jam!

Such a fun gameplay loop. I could definitely sink some time into this~

A really cute game! The art style is great. The only thing that got me a little stuck is that when knights are behind the UI it makes it hard to see them. Overall a great entry!

All-in-all a very ambitious game! Unfortunately there is a lot of variation in the pixel density throughout the game especially with text which makes it difficult to read some of the info. The story is very cute though a bit confusing to follow as well and Its a shame about the lack of music but doing a jam is hard and  I can totally understand it slipping through the cracks. The artwork is not bad at all and I bet given more time it could've come together really nicely! Really good effort!

Overall a really cute game! I thought that the mining minigame was plenty interactive and that the character was really cute. Would have liked to be able to see the money you have in the shop and maybe a little bit more variety in the music but this is a great jam submission!

I haven't fully tested everything yet but so far it works great on the ROG Ally Z1 extreme through Vita3k! If I find any hiccups I'll follow up but so far so good.

Good question! It could work similar to how the Dirtywave m8 works. Basically having the cursor snap to the grid and having button combos, long key presses, and other buttons to control the interface and input data. Ladd is another example but both of those are limited in the amount of buttons they have so doing it for regular gamepad with have the added benefit of all the extra inputs available! Just a thought though :D

Hi!

I know that controller support isn't usually a priority or even plausible but I know a ton of steamdeck users and ally users that would love controller support so we can easily use a tracker like this on the go! I just wanted to slide this in here! This is amazing though and I can't wait to explore it more.

I cant message you because of your discord settings until you accept my friend request. Sent one your way :D

Hi hi! My name is lost beach boy! I am a sound designer and musician. This would not be my first game jam throw down so I am used to working on audio with short time restraints and limited resources. This time will be a bit different for me since I would love to use only one piece of gear from my studio to make the whole soundtrack (I will be using the dirtywave M8). I thought it would be a ton of fun to add a bit more of a challenge. The foley will be recorded by me physically unless I don't have access to the sounds you are looking for. I do have a library of sound assets already however this allows me to continue to build my library of custom sounds as well as provide custom sounds for your game! You can check out some examples of my past sound work here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ldMwmyhYBCcF5UoveQND-freb_-EcBZY?usp=sha... .  If you are interested feel free to leave a message here or shoot me a message on discord @lostbeachboy !

I'm glad you like the music!

I'm so stoked to see FearOfDark making music for games again! Love the soundtrack and the game is amazing!

I am! Still haven't been picked up!
