Cool little game!

Here's some feedback if you want:

  • The difference between the two scores displayed on screen isn't clear.
  • I don't know what the two circles at the top right of the screen mean.
  • Is there a reason for the top half of the screen, game design wise? The slugs seem only to be spawning on the bottom half.
  • I don't know what the code looks like but the transition between a manageable amount of slugs spawning and way too much is too sudden. It would be a better idea I think to implement a varying spawn rate to make the difficulty vary higher and lower over time and give the player the opportunity to calm down between waves.

Nice little game to train your hand-eye coordination as of now. The format seems to be best adapted to a mobile's one, would be interesting to make an android build.

Hey, pretty cool game, especially considering the time constraints!


That being said, here's some feedback, not sure how much of it you're already aware of but here it goes:

  • Hitting enemies doesn't make them blink in red, which made me think there was new enemies respawning on top the the ones I've just destroyed.
  • Not being able to restart the game after death without reloading the page is really not ergonomic.
  • It is unclear whether there is an end of level or not, it's kinda weird to be upgrading the player mid-fight. Clearly limited levels with a progress bar of some kind and a shop level would help.
  • Having some sort of healthbar is a must since as it is right now, there's no way to know whether the player is close to death or not.
  • And lastly, pretty sure you're aware that the credits menu is effed up with this resolution right now.

But yeah, despite that, it's a pretty cool little game, can't wait to see what it becomes!
