As a fellow fish game, I love your execution of the concept (especially visually and musically)!! While I didn't quite get to see the visual decay themes, I found this to be a great, polished game that had me playing for a good while. Great job! ^^

As the artist, I'm really thankful you liked our art! We will be updating the game once the jam ends to fix bugs, clarify mechanics and objectives, and include more cutscenes/lore. We'd love it if you popped back in to play again once our game is updated-- thanks so much for playing our game! ^^

Haha im glad we did our concept justice, and we plan to make the gameplay and narrative more clear post-jam so stay tuned for that! Thanks so much for playing!

yeah sure idm! i'm @cilan.tre on instagram, and if you're making a gmtk themed video i'd appreciate it if you mentioned me as the artist of "against the flow" for gmtk! thanks so much!

That was definitely successful; that part really stood out to me! great game! ^^

lol yes i was feeling fan-artsy in the moment. glad you like it, i enjoyed playing your game!

Addictive game and very gecko! My sister was playing this for a good while. Simple concept well executed-- kudos!

For a very chill/cozy art style, the music seemed quite liminal/heavy in a way that imo blended really well into the narrative themes of this game. Great artwork and polished game, well done!

Clear puzzle design and a cute concept with the gliding-- I can see potential to elaborate on this idea in different environments or with different actions-- like on the pond! Nice work!

unfortunately had the same issue as a previous player where it launched on debug mode and pushed me into a corner, but from what I could play of it, the controls did work well and the art+zombie drops were satisfying! The thumbnail and environment art also seemed great. Kudos!

Love that the voice-acting was recorded by people! The visuals were also really polished as well, well done!

This is a fun concept! As a fellow fish game artist I obviously enjoyed the motifs lol, but I also enjoyed how the narrative went really deep for a game that wasn't dialogue-heavy. The hard landings were pretty funny too. Fun game!

Adorable characters and amazing music! I wish there was a quit/reset button as I bought the wrong seeds on the first day with no way in-game to restart. Very cute game!

The sound effects are a nice touch to the gameplay experience! The enemies are also very cute! However, I wish the effects of the potion and its combinations were something I could somewhat anticipate/guess. Great job on this game, it was a fun experience!

ooo noted, we'll be updating the game to be clearer right after the jam! thank you sm for playing!!!

Thank you very much for playing our game and thanks for the kind words!! ^^

This is a fun, clever and polished game-- the jitter on all the artwork is a really satisfying cherry on top! Was easy to pick up the rules as I went. I can imagine this being very fun as a multiplayer game!

Fun game that's easy to pick up and enjoyable to explore! I particularly enjoyed the music-- the first one sounded a bit like severance which someone mentioned lol.

What a creative idea! The battery percentage seems to be thought through, which I appreciated. I wish I could scroll using arrow keys, and a cutscene at the end would have tied things up nicely, but regardless the narrative was fascinating. This game was really up my alley in both narrative and art style, and I really enjoyed it!

I enjoyed the process of understanding the hourglass mechanic-- as a fellow person who used an hourglass, the tilt angle is a cool idea! Being able to drop the hourglass and pick it up from a different angle was fun to do.  Lighting and colours stood out positively to me as well. This was a very well-crafted and enjoyable game to play!

Thank you so much for playing our game-- I'm glad you enjoyed the story we made.  We really appreciate the kind words towards our team (especially considering the amazing game you've created this year-- congrats!) and we're excited to create more in the future :)

We'll add these to the list to fix! Thanks for such thoughtful feedback. I'm glad to hear the story spoke to you-- after the jam we also plan to update the game with fixed dialogue, cutscenes, and clearer visuals to show more of the narrative we had planned!

Thanks!!

Thank you so much!!

I'm glad the vibe was conveyed well! Thanks for the feedback^^

The minigames were very fun, and seeing the enemies wobbling around was the cherry on top! Really enjoyed the sound effects too. Overall a very fun environment to play in
