I did a bit of digging into the original UW1, and it looks like the sceptre in Korianous’s grave really was a functional magic item rather than just part of his grave equipment.

The original-game item data/strings include “Restore Mana” as a specific magical item effect, alongside Increase Mana, Mana Boost and Regain Mana. The magic-item location lists identify the item in Korianous’s grave specifically as an “Unblemished Sceptre of Restore Mana”.

I also found old UW1 player discussions, independent of the modern wiki, where players explicitly mention the magic sceptre on Level 1 as having a limited number of uses to restore mana, and identify its location as Korianous’s grave.

There also seems to be at least one other functional magic sceptre in the original game (the Sceptre of Ally on Level 5), so it looks as though sceptres could indeed function as charged magic items rather than being purely decorative.

So your idea of reclassifying them like wands sounds very promising. Happy to test it if you put it into a build! :)

Hi  Kweepa, Thank You very much for this port. UW2 was my very first dungeon  crawler and in my mind since then. Thank you for the possibilty to play the ancestor again.

Now my problem. I’m using keyboard/mouse controls. Win11 machine. I can select the Sceptre of Restore Mana and get the green use/charge circle, but I can’t actually trigger its effect.

Switching to the inventory cancels the selection, clicking the mana flask does nothing, and dragging the sceptre onto it just drops the sceptre into the world.

Is there a keyboard/mouse input I’m missing for using charged magic items like sceptres/wands, or is this currently a KB/M bug?

Thx for your reply

Wonderful the dialog scene between Gertrude and Nancy :)) Love to see more of the game.

I have a question about the story line.  Do I understand correctly that the main quest is actually the story about our two demons, ladies?  Will the story continue to develop here?  I'm asking because my skill tree is already maxed out and if the story goes on for a long time (which I really hope!) then all the XP points from now on are actually superfluous. ;)

It's all OK!  It's still an powerful and really good game.  You know your target group better than I do.  I thought about it because society is constantly diversifying and becoming more colorful

After a couple of years I have rediscovered this wonderful game. :) Great work!

For the sex scenes: what about some gang bang and or transsexual scenes? And: what do you think about a skill tree for the sex scenes?

Hi Kal, glad you found a new spot for your game :)
