The next stream won't be for a while, and it won't be a dedicated 20 second game jam stream. It'll probably be for another jam, but I'm happy to start of with your game on that stream!

I am working on a new game, Vigor Corporation: Plantation, which is a sequel to the original game in the 20 second jam, Vigor Corporation: Induction, and I was wondering if it would be allowed here. It looks wildy different (because of a different artstyle and different abilities/enemies), but it reuses A LOT of what the original game had, code wise. (They are also both going to be apart of a much bigger game in the future) It basically has all the code the first game had plus a bunch of the original mechanics it had.
Examples:
the player physics is the same, but their weapon uses a projectile combined with a shader to throw a vine instead of shoot a bullet, and their parry is replaced with a melee charge
Enemy drone code was reused but expanded to handle target priority, varying speeds based on leg movement, and waiting behind other enemies.
Audio system is the exact same, just different audio files
The game is still a 2D platformer, but instead of a ton of small enemies that make it like a bullet hell, it has medium to large enemies along with small allies that you can summon. So now its like a 2D platformer/fighter, plus a bit of tower defense
Heh, yeahhhhhhhhh the game is a bit big. Honestly thought I was done with optimization, but I didn't realize this game is like 4 to 5x bigger than a standard indie web game. I knew it was big, but I didn't realize it was THAT big in comparison until I looked into the standard size for web games right now. I'll see what else I can cut out/optimize, thank you for the feedback!
Edit: For anyone else reading this, the game has been heavily optimized since! it is now around 80 mb! (the download is much more because it uses high resolution images)
Really fun, but that brrt sound gets annoying really fast, and it feels off that it plays even while your not shooting. Maybe add a tiny bit of echo, varying pitch shift, or something to make the player not get "audio fatigue" over the brrt sound. Also, the overheat mechanic is fun, but I think it should be harsher to be more prevalent, rather than you let go of the mouse for 0.01 seconds and the overheat is gone.
Absolutely awesome game, didn't stop playing until I beat all the levels. I will say though, a lot of times when I fail, I accidentally hit a key that leads me to either retry or go to main menu. Like, I'm hitting a key to try and press the right button, but then the timer runs out, and I accidentally hit retry or the menu instead. You should probably make the retry and menu buttons binded to something else rather than WASD or the arrow keys.
