This is actually a challenging (but decent) game for Metroidvaniaheads. In certain moments, it is reminiscent of the Game Boy Advance/DS installments in the Castlevania franchise. However, some players may get turned off by its punishing nature, due to the frequent deaths caused from falling. I hope that the finished version will have the much-desired, but traditional Map and Bestiary features. The game shows plenty of potential, but I hope it doesn't end up being in any way cryptic as Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest.

From what I experienced so far, the game is a nice throwback vibe for anyone who is into Classic 2D Metroid - and is also a good reminder for certain gamers of some of the Classic 8-Bit NES Games That Are Legendary For Their Frustrating Difficulty. No issues with the gameplay & controls here, although I do wish that the character could aim & shoot diagonally. If Metroidvania is your thing, then you will find something decent about this game.
Nice little homage to the Castlevania franchise. It's also a dope thing to see the hearts being used for the character's health, which makes me think of Zelda when I look up at them. The only issue I have is not being able to destroy enemy projectiles with the whip - which I hope would be considered at some point in development. May the game's development reach completion sometime in this year of 2020.
