This no longer works on Windows 11. DirectX 12 comes standard with that, but it still throws that error. The installer you are pointing to no longer works on Win 11, as all those files installed are already provided by the OS, so the installer throws an error. Works on my Win10 desktop with no complaints, yes, but my work laptop (with rly good specs, it's not a graphics card issue) with Win11 refuses entirely.

If I may...I have purchased 100+ Indie games of various genre over the years, most of them not on sale, so i have a pretty good feeling for it.
If the current level of quality is maintained, the content in the previews is implemented and the genre standard ~15 missions are included in the release, I would expect it to release with a 25 to 30€ price tag (Microprose in particular has established this sort of pricing lately), but would personally feel 20€ to be the fairest price.
Under 20 I feel you may not make enough, given the likely niche audience. Over 30, people will be very hesitant to purchase it on release so the on-release sales, that make up the majority of many games' sales, may be dampened.
For particular regional pricings outside the EU/UK/US it gets kind of complicated, Steam sales assists Indie devs with that often.

Great update, I especially like the new Intel section, great for immersion. New weapons are super fun, but the 120mm explodes on random obstacles frequently, meaning I will be aiming at a unit and the shell explodes on some random car between is. The stacked munitions launcher is my favorite gun now, super fast paced short range gun, so every mission is thrilling.

Unfortunately the LOSAT units are too good right now. They frequently one-shot me from off screen and lock on through buildings (or at least the tiniest gaps between them) so they fire the moment I peak out. Combined with the fast lock-on times they are just very powerful. As it stands mission six is just not fun to me, since learning where the LOSAT are is kind off the only good way to beat it. Maybe less of them or some sort of lock-on warning could help.

Spawn changes to mission 5 are super fun, the visual changes are great. I especially like the practical quad mech style and the very finite health and ammo, bipedal mechs for no good reasons is one of my most hated mecha tropes, as is infinite ammo. If this was a 20€ game and had like 20 missions I would buy it instantly already. With a finished intel ledger and maybe an artbook pdf I might even spend 40 on a deluxe edition. Straight up would print the intel ledger and keep it as a little folder, the black and white look is super clean.

Finally I have some suggestions for weapons: High penetration and velocity 40mm autocannon, fire rate maybe 120-240RPM. Self-targeting 20mm autocannon turret as a secondary or in the GL slot (for all our single missed Grub killing needs). VLS top-attack missiles that go up and fly over cover.

Great work, looking forward to more,

Alex
