GAME OVER
Personally I'd love to get to meet some of the critters characters and how you bring them to life, though I'm just happy to get whatever you choose to go with. I suppose it would be easier to start with the world building though so your cast has to fit the world as opposed to the world fitting the cast.
Also to clarify, the fine folks at TimeWizardStudios are and have been working really hard on this game. The reason I say it will take that long is not because of any shirking on their part, rather it's because of how ridiculously in depth this game actually is and the sheer amount of things they are doing with it. Just wanted to clarify that point.
Look, Zavelle, I get that you don't like the Bad Endings. I'm not a fan of unhappy endings either, but try looking at this from a different angle. The game itself is still very much in what could (and should) be considered active early development, right? These Bad Ends should be looked at as what they are, Game Over scenes. The same sort that appear in the greater majority of games anymore, scenes that normally only appear because the player messed up somehow, scenes that we can currently avoid. As game development proceeds we will be able to have more control over who we do and do not get involved with, and in what sense we do so. I'm guessing that since you found your way to this site that you have plenty of experience with games, so you obviously already know that RNG can't just slap the Good End/Winning scenes in yet because like I said earlier the routes are nowhere near completion. Doing so would just spoil everyone's experience with the game. There is a ton of stuff still to come and RNG has been putting in a lot of effort on it, so I'm asking you, from one gamer to another, to hold off a while longer before you consider going through with asking for a refund. For your sake, and for the sake of everyone who has had a hand in bringing this game to life, give Goodbye Eternity the time needed to grow into a more complete form before you decide to give up on it. The Good Ending is coming, we just have to be patient. Thanks for hearing me out, I appreciate it!
If you have any more questions feel free to ask, I'll try and keep my eye on this thread. Oh, also just to clarify/reiterate with everything I've bought off here none of the stuff actually showed the name of the program so don't worry about it showing up as "porno game" or anything awkward like that.
No, once you buy it all updates are free (does not include DLC on games that have any) and show up in your library, itch.io app, and a bar at the top of the game page as seen in image provided. Usually when purchasing games on itch they will show up as itch.io on your bank statement, though for me at least this one showed up as "End of Time (something)". I had no issues during or after the purchase so it should be the same for you. Worst that may happen is your bank calls to let you know an international charge was made to your account and you have to verify that yes you bought stuff.
At the moment jack squat. Like Mill1o said there are only a couple unique dialogues you can select and technically a hidden quest where you can either beg forgiveness from Lindsey or double down on being a dick and loose a lot of potential interactions. You also earn the ire of a great chunk of the community if they learn you engaged with it. It is currently unclear if they even intend to continue this route or if has become more of a proof of concept at this point.
Well for a start trying to be mean to Lindsey seems like a pretty big mistake. Secondly you're too late to actually get that dialogue on your current file.
Start a New Game and go out of your way to be as big of an ass as you possibly can to Lindsey. Refuse to help get her to the Nurse, gawk at her when she falls, disrespect her at every opportunity, and keep on doing it. Do all these things and you too can be blacklisted from the Lindsey Romance Route.
Side effects include: nagging guilt (if you have a heart) and the stink eye from Lindsey fans far and wide. Seriously though, there is barely anything down that rabbit hole. I can only think of three instances where you even get special dialogue options, including this one.
Just gotta be patient people. The update is coming but sometimes unforeseen events happen that put a kink in the works, and while in this trade kinks are usually smiled upon, this time it's the other kind. Of course it doesn't help that people are still recovering from the holidays either. Just give them a little more time and all will be good.
(EDIT)
Just a reminder guys, the Discord is up and running if you want to keep up to date on the game. The plan is to still post this month as soon as artwork is done. As we all know though crap does happen so we get it when it comes out. These guys have been reliably posting updates for years at this point so I think it's more than fair to cut them some slack when crap hits the fan.
You have to stop and ask yourself if you may be playing too many of a specific genre of games *COUGH* *COUGH* *horror* *COUGH* *COUGH* when you see such a serene landscape as is presented in this game and all you can think is "Oh god, which way is it going to get me from? There's nothing to hide behind out here... Where the heck did THOSE snow angels come from?! I didn't make those!" the entire time. That said this was actually quite cute once the panic wore off. I'll have to try some of your other works now.
