Great work on this game! It's a very unique concept that ties well into the jam's theme, and I was having a lot of fun getting more and more cards to expand my city further across the map.

Hope you continue working on this -- there's so much potential with more types of cards, and I'd love to see animations with the actions you can take, and hover effects for selecting different parts of the grid. Amazing work!

I'm so impressed at how polished this game is for such a short period of time! The art and animations are amazing, and you really nailed the satisfaction you get from getting a perfect drop. It's a simple game, but the varying gravity levels make the difficulty just right, and I couldn't help but keep trying to get as far as possible!

This was a ton of fun -- I played through this a few times to try out different strategies! The background music, the art, and the SFX make it such an addicting game, I kept wanting to continue to expand more and more.

Great work!

This was such a fun game to click through! In particular I loved how you told a story through sprites in the speech bubble, I thought that was really cute and funny. The pixel art and animations were fantastic, and the environment that you built really tied the whole thing together as well!

Fantastic job!

Wow, this is one of the most creative and unique games I've played so far -- it's awesome to be immersed in the creepy atmosphere, and watch the misinformation spread. At first I had a bit of trouble knowing what to click on (a short tutorial could be great) but after I figured out the upgrades I had a ton of fun progressing!

Also I really appreciated the art, I was very impressed on how much you built in such a short time. Great job!

I'm a big fan of farming games, so I'm really glad I stumbled upon your game! It was super relaxing to simply use my mouse to grow my garden, and slowly get more and more gold by growing and selling more crops! The crops growing quickly was something I appreciated.

Fantastic work! I'll be coming back to this to enjoy the music and vibes again :)

This is such a creative and relaxing game! It was nice to just have to use the mouse, and I could just sit back and make my creation with two buttons. The sfx of roots and branches growing is really satisfying and makes me want to continue building more and more!

First of all -- thank you for taking the time to play through, review, and upload your VOD! I wish I was able to catch you live, but I had such a great time watching you play through not only our game but other submissions as well. Nothing beats being able to see someone react and play through these games for the first time :)

And thank you for deliberately trying out different blocks and patterns while building your machine! It's so helpful to hear your thoughts and feedback, we really want to continue improving on this so these are focus areas that we'll hopefully build into the game very shortly.

Glad you enjoyed the game! We'll definitely be adding much more to it after the jam ends, so stop by and build another machine when you get the chance!

Thank you so much!! We took a lot of inspiration from other roguelike games (which we both love playing!) to flesh out this weird idea, so very glad you enjoyed it!

Wow 10/10?? Honestly overjoyed to hear that, and so happy you had fun playing!! There's a lot of things to improve (the difficulty being a big one), but hearing feedback like yours makes us even more motivated to continue building this out even further -- thank you!!

Yay glad you enjoyed!! Thank you for the kind words!!

Thank you very much!! It's super funny to create weird machines and try out different styles of play, and I'm so glad you enjoyed the artwork and idea -- we spent a ton of time brainstorming, drawing and figuring out the style we liked. Totally hear you on the balancing aspect, we wanted to make it approachable at first, but we're aiming to revisit and hopefully make that difficulty just right!

Again, thanks for stopping by to try out our game :)

It took me a little bit to understand what I needed to do, but after getting into the groove of things I had a lot of fun! I really enjoy the mini-game / warioware style, so fulfilling orders by trying out the various timed challenges were awesome! One nit -- sometimes after I did the tasks it the order seemed to disappear, so I'd have to do it again

Also, great job on the art and animations!! There's a ton of small details that I appreciated both in the backgrounds and sprites!

Glad you had fun and thank you for playing! Happy that you think this could go even further -- that's exactly what we want to do, we had so much fun building this that we're aiming to polish it up even further and hopefully put it on a platform like Steam!

And re: the magnet, I have totally been there as well hahaha

This is such a polished game, I love the look of the popcorn and the animation and SFX make it soooo satisfying to hit the popcorn at the right time! I'm super impressed that you both were able to build a rhythm game with a great soundtrack and visuals, all while having simple controls with the right difficulty as well!

The leaderboard is also the cherry on top, it's awesome seeing how other people did as well. Fantastic job to both of you!

Wow what an aesthetically pleasing and relaxing game! A tutorial would be great to figure out how to get started, but after I realized the flow I had a lot of fun planting different seeds and working on my garden! Fantastic work on the art, music, and gameplay!

Wow what a fascinating game, it was addicting to click on the hole and keep spawning balls to keep bouncing around. The dialogue really made me think of my own story for what was going on hahaha

Great work!

This is a cool concept! It took me a little bit to understand the casting time, but it was fun to try and find all of the different kinds of spells to cast! Also, I was impressed by the hand animations for spells -- great job!

Super glad you thought that, thank you for such a kind review! There were times during development where we just played instead of building, so totally understand that feeling hahaha

Yes, we definitely want to! There's so many things we want to do to take it further, this was all we could do for the jam but very excited to continue "expanding" on it so stay tuned!

Thank you for playing!!

Yay glad you enjoyed :)

So exciting to hear that you were able to build a machine that took you far through endless mode!! Thank you for the encouragement, and thank you for playing!

Thanks for playing and writing down your thoughts -- so glad you enjoyed it!! Agreed on your point around editing placed blocks, that's something we'll probably revisit to try and make smoother :)

omg first person to ever get an S

Yay! Thank you for the kind words, and glad you enjoyed the game :)
Definitely not a reflection of your rhythm game skill though, since the gameplay itself has a lot of room for improvement -- we  made some QoL changes based on feedback that might make the game a bit easier to play through!

I think there was definitely an opportunity to make the rhythm and gameplay a bit clearer, so not a lack of music sense at all! Very insightful to hear your perspective so we can try and make the game a little more digestible -- thank you for playing!

Glad you had fun, and thank you so much for the suggestion and mockup! That's super valuable, and we made some changes along those lines to make it a bit more clear what to press and when :)
