the demo isnt meant to be a demo, its only there for compatibility testing to make sure the game actually works with your hardware before you pay for it

they did remove it 😭

steam version will have cloud saves and workshop support in the future, it also receives more patches, itch seems to mainly only get the major updates

found an android specific bug in the demo, for some reason all animal ear hats besides the dog ears show up with missing pink checkerboard textures, ive tried the web port and it doesnt happen there
