I'm glad to see that someone spotted this missing detail. You truly  man of culture.. Thanks for playing! *Bazinga*

Pretty cool Reversi-Style game. Was a bit confused, but it got the hang of it. I don't know what the bugs supposed to be though. Good job!

Really cool take on Agar.io. Maybe a multiplayer or ai option. Good job!

I've played and rated already :)!

Well, to tell the truth, that's an actual bug. But I think that the problem was that I forgot to make the objects static. Thanks for playing!

Am I playing Harry Potter? Cause someone just cast the Gemino Curse! I actually was able to make a burger! 10/10 IGN! Excellent job! If you have the time, please check out my game: https://itch.io/jam/wowie-jam-2/rate/552681. Enjoy!

I really liked the level and puzzles. A suggestion: In the future try Text Mesh Pro. Good job! I also made a third person game, similar to this if you'd like to check it out: https://itch.io/jam/wowie-jam-2/rate/552681. Enjoy!

Short but fun, really like the movement control bug. Good job! I also made a game with a control bug. If you have the time, here's my game: https://itch.io/jam/wowie-jam-2/rate/552681. Enjoy!

I really want to tell you, but that would spoil the game for anyone reading the comments. I recommend playing it again, and trying it out.

Thank you! Yes, I did use Post Processing. You need to import it from the Package Manager, create an empty, add a Post Processing Volume to it, set the Layer to "Post Processing ". and select new.  Set "isGlobal" to true, and the intensity to 1.

On your Main Camera, add a Post Processing Layer component and select in the "Layer" dropdown, "PostProcessing".

To test if it works, go to the Post Processing Volume, and turn the Bloom intensity to its max..

I hope this helps, and thanks again for playing!

Really cool game! Took me a while to work out the glitch, great job! Here's my game: https://literally3d.itch.io/taking-the-w, it's also low poly(ish). enjoy

I'm sorry, but I'm really confused, I just get the "Thanks for Playing Screen". How does this game work?

(1 edit)

I'm sorry, but I couldn't get passed level 3. The idea is good, but wasn't executed properly. My first gamejam game was neigh unplayable, so I know the feeling.

So advice that could make this game better (without changing it): Adding coins with a coin counter: (Coins: 1); Adding an objective marker (A star-like object that rotates rather than a blue wall); more responsive controls (adding a double jump rather than jumping unintentionally when landing); a text tutorial on the wall, making the cubes slower (rather than just ramming you) and thicker platforms.

I find that constructive criticism is better than telling someone their game is bad, or just blatantly lying and tell them it's good enough to be released on Steam.  So good attempt, and hope this helps. If you'd like some inspiration, I went from looking like this game and 4 gamejams later, I make this https://literally3d.itch.io/taking-the-w

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. Thanks for playing!

Absolutely loved it! This game subverted my expectation in such a way that would make D&D (David Benioff and D. B. Weiss) jealous. Speed run time 02:02:87. All I can say is: WOWIEEEEE!

Know the feeling. Took me 1 prototype ?(which took an 1h and a half to make) and an extra 4hs to come up with this: https://literally3d.itch.io/taking-the-w.

Great job on making your first game. I don't know if you wrote any scripts, or imported the assets, with scripts, so I have some suggestions to keep in mind for the future: The try using cinemachine for the player camera, add sound effects when you pickup a item (Balloon popping perhaps, I used that sound in my game), and adding a score (Coins: 1; Balloons: 1/10 etc..).  So well done on making your first game, and here's my game if you'd like to check it out https://literally3d.itch.io/taking-the-w.

Hello. My name is Ross. I've been developing games for almost 1 year and I'm going to study game development at college in a month.
This is the 5th game-jam I've participated in.
When I started the jam, the first thing that I thought of was "Annoying AI". So after 1h of coding it, I found that it was rubbish. So I thought about all interpretations of the topic, and came up with a movement bug, where only one key works. And from there, everything seemed to transition smoothly. I think the best part was the fact some of the bugs were "unintentional" so it really helps not needing to fix them. It's really great to see how supportive everyone is to each-other.My advice to people in the future, "Focus on the core mechanics. Not the art, not the story, the mechanics, once you've done that, the rest will follow".

Pretty fun, but challenging game.I liked how interpreted the topic in both ways. Good job!

Wow, that was amazing! The art was beautiful, the gameplay was fun and the glitches were perfectly timed. Excellent job!

Was a fun game, but I can't really tell what the bug was. Good job!

That was really fun! The narrative was funny and the gameplay was satisfying. Great job! My game has a similar style, so feel free to check it out https://literally3d.itch.io/taking-the-w
